Almost immediately after Kirk was shot on Wednesday, right-wing social media accounts began speculating that his killer was transgender.
Aside from the reaffirmation that these people really are as hateful, dishonest, and violent as they appear to be, I think that the most valuable lesson learned from Kirk's murder is how the Fascists reflexively tipped their hand; when they get their Reichstag Fire, we now know exactly who the scapegoat will be.
