It is ok, nonsense in parts, not sure if badly written or badly translated or basically incomprehensible. Often Zen related writings seem like nonsense, conceptually. It could be that at some stage it makes more sense. That is difficult to know if it is me that does not understand the words of if the words can never be understood.

It is reiteration ad infinitum in books, over and again the same concepts that we cannot see with the ordinary mind, ordinary time, ordinary past, present and future mindset. Very similar to what Jiddu Krishnamuti suggests.

Operating from the one as opposed to the many (10,000 things) is a shift that seems like looking at the 4th dimension from the 3rd dimension, until you find the key.

The words are reminders and signposts but not the key which is only in this moment it seems and any moving away from it using words, thoughts or time concepts and constructs merely move you further away from it.

it was interesting readin about if there is Katagiri (the author) and zazen then there is opposition until there is no katigiri and merely zazen. J.K suggests the same in that the observer does not exist merely the observed meaning the end of duality. Or rather, realization that duality does not exist, beyond our almost fundamentally conditioned mind.

A quite simple intellectual concept that is fiendishly difficult to be/live, or so we think, and that is the problem isn't it, thinking, over and over again. Grasping to now, who is it who wants to know, ha ha.

It reminds me of someone sitting with Jiddu Krishnamurti in dialogue/listening, who says it is difficult to be simple and J.K suggests we have started with complexity to try and understand simplicity.

It is like we do not want simplicity we want to understand all through complexity, through tying ourselves in knots, by making drama and a big deal out of it all.

This is fascinating, which is also probably an obstacle damn it ! Here is that video...

This post feels like catharsis, got to get it all out I suppose... reminds me of another book title that I have, "you have to say something" though I have that conceptually wrong..I presume he called the book that because once you know there is nothing to say that explains it, but... "you have to say something" and within those words you know they are nothing.

Right ok stop now I tell myself knowing that is dualism in operation, it never ends......... until maybe it does.

Good luck with it. Whatever it is.:expressionless:
