China has an enormous capacity and has dedicated themselves to making drones which, of course, they can sell and trade for favors. Very much the same way they've dominated solar cells and other products. Just as silicon solar cells are about to be replaced with much cheaper and lighter alternatives, they're attempting to do the same with drones, and cut off China's business. The US advantage is a more experienced industry and better reputation, but China is basically attempting to use weapons to fund their own economy, just like the US, and should prove more reliable than Russia. Small wonder that Putin is ready to go ballistic. As many as 4,000 drones can be launched at one time, from a semi-truck. My guess is, they want a magnetic launch system that can spit them out like so many bullets, but simultaneously down 4,000 barrels. The damn things don't have to go high, so the race is on for the airspace right above the battlefield. The article lies about the US strategy. China is integrating AI into everything, and the US will do the same. The Pentagon is obviously attempting to make grunts on the ground feel like they're in charge when, at best, they'll be the backup system.
