    Conversation overheard on Central Avenue:
    "So; you live in Florida?"
***indignant*** "NO; I do NOT live in Florida. I would NEVER live in Florida. I live in St Petersburg; BIG difference!"

I'm doing Yang 108 Tai chi with a group of about 30 three times a week in one of downtown St Pete's many waterfront parks, I do Yang 24 on my own on the beach, or in a grove of palm trees; both across the street. We have a vibrant and diverse population, and the largest Pride celebration in the Southeast. There are festivals in the parks almost every weekend this time of year. Despite crowds of revelers, there's hardly any trash. Several of the city busses are free, and there are E-bikes, E-scooters, bicycles, roller blades, skateboards everywhere; even the odd unicycle or bicycle rickshaw. Passers-by frequently wish me 'good morning', and cars frequently stop to allow me across the crosswalk. The busy-bodys, gossips, and Karens are too few to be of consequence; friends & allies are abundant.
There's a group called "The Global Love Project" which roams St Pete, drawing chalk mandalas and encouragement on the sidewalks. Wednesday, they showed my Tai chi group some love.

Too many to chose from - they all have their special place in my memory. I will cherry pick Turkey and Mexico because of the length of time I travelled around them.
Turkey for 5 weeks from Istanbul to Antakya and points in between. Over 3 months in Mexico mostly around the Gulf and Caribbean regions plus sojourns to Belize and Guatemala.

I understand it's much worse now. Really sad to see the US lose face and it's standing in the world after being on the right side of history for centuries.

Now Trump and really Putin have succeeded in destroying US credibility in just 3 months! Congratulations!

The US has far more Russian assets in the government than ANYONE realizes. And they're now activated.

We're very lucky that China hasn't yet activated its thousands of sleeper agents.

And Trump is more concerned about students protesting the killing of thousands of women and children in Gaza.
