Urban Barefooters

Hello everyone, are there other barefooters here who live in large urban areas? I live in Los Angeles, and despite having nice weather, I don't know any. I also take public transit barefoot and go shopping wearing soleless sandals; otherwise, security guards won't let me into the stores.

Does anyone here live barefoot in a large city?

 

I don't live in a large city but I will frequently catch a train into my nearest large city which is Leeds in the UK.
Never had any bother on the trains or anywhere in the city, just got to watch your step that's all.

 

I live in a good size city and I go barefoot everywhere all year around.

 

Have you ever been barefoot in London?

 

Oh I'm jealous, my goal is to be barefoot full-time.

 

I love being barefoot full time and I have been barefoot full time for 33 years it’s a awesome lifestyle.

 

I wish more people would be full time barefooter. I don’t see a lot of people going barefoot anymore. But the barefoot lifestyle is really awesome and I would never stop going barefoot everywhere and all year around.

 

Never been barefoot in London however I do know a few guys that are barefoot full time in London.

There are also regular barefooter meet ups in London

 

That’s awesome I tried to get a barefoot meet up started where I live but nobody was interested .

 

I just got done washing both of my trucks today at the carwash and I was barefoot the whole time and my bare feet got a little bit dirty.

 

33 years? that's impressive

 

Oh nice, I wish we had meet-ups here, or even any barefooters

I know what you mean I don’t see any barefooters like me around where I live. A few years back I would see men and women walking around barefoot but now days I don’t see anyone walking around barefoot. I have tried to get a meet up group started where I live but no one was interested in it.

 

Do you know what could have caused the decline of people walking around barefoot?

 

It’s Society that tells us to wear shoes and not to go barefoot because going barefoot you can get athletes foot and other fugues. But in reality going barefoot doesn’t cause that . And they say it’s illegal to go barefoot in public and public places and that’s not true either . You can go barefoot anywhere you want to . People say that going barefoot in stores and restaurants is illegal but you can go barefoot in stores and fast food places and restaurants if the restaurants let you I always ask and I always get told yes I can going barefoot. People will tell you it’s against the health code but theirs no health code for going in to stores and other places. Just think when you put on socks and shoes your feet start to sweat and some feet do smell really bad but just think about this does anybody here wash their shoes I’m talking about the inside of their shoes I really don’t know anybody that washes the inside of their shoes every day . I know people shower every day and they change their socks every day but putting on the same shoes that you sweated I the day before this bacteria in the shoes and when you put on your fresh pair of socks and put your feet in the same shoes you worn the day before that how you get toe fungus and athlete’s foot. So it better and healthier to go barefoot but Society doesn’t like to see barefoot people in the USA .

 

I live in a good size city and my bare feet got a little bit dirty today just walking around barefoot in my driveway
