this is my first post on the nudist forum. i have always wanted to be a nudist i haven't slept with clothing on since i was 10 or so when my parents aren't home i walk around doing choirs, playing games, and watching TV totally naked but unfortunatally i don't think my parents share this love with me so i still haven't gotten to go anywhere w/o clothing. i really want to any suggestions
I feel your pain dude, If I were you I'd see where your parents stand on the nudity issue. One thing I learned from a site dealing with these things is make up a story, something like "Hey Mom, did you hear that a nudist resort caught on fire?" or something like that and see what they say. If you know your parents good enough maybe you can just bring up the issue or just walk around in less and less clothing. Start with just walking around in a shirt and your underwear, if they don't say anything the next week walk around in just your underwear and keep at it untill you think your parients are warming up to it, if they still don't act weird than go by a trusted parent (which ever one you think will handle it better) and bring up that you want to be a Nudist and see what they say. Thats the best advice I got.
It may be like me you have to accept they will object to nudity and find opportunities when they are not around.
It's a difficult thing to relate to parents, especially if you've grown up your entire life wearing clothes at home. They will either react to it, thinking it's just a phase or a novelty, or they will see you for what you want and be O.K. with it. I love Omar's idea of making up a story to stealthily discover their disposition on the subject, so try that first, and then work your way up.
I think most parents are not willing to be embarassed in a social setting abt out of the ordinary customs. Some will agree but dont want you to do it except in a controlled home environment. You have to acknowledge their concerns and gradually move closer to your goal. In my particular case, i started sleeping naked all the time i could (except in tough winters). Also go around in minimal clothing, when possible. Barefooted at home, with only shorts, etc. And then going nude from the bathroom to my bedroom and staying nude after that. Mom one day asked me if i enjoyed being naked a lot because she have seen me going nude after my showers. I told her it felt fine. I drove it from "inside" ..meaning i was doing it because i discovered it felt good. It was nothing i was copying from peers or the outside. Later, i told her i found a magazine the the American Sunbathing Association was publishing monthly ... and i showed that to her. She apparently talked the issue over with dad and they didn't make any fuzz abt that. Another day, after our casual every night dinner ... mom brought the subject. And I said I was doing it at home. That it felt extremely good and i didn see anything wrong with it. They fully agreed. For some time i did it under controlled mode. One day I said that I was going to visit a nudist camp with a friend of mine. They were not shocked but asked lots of questions. I was 17 at that time. Then after some time they asked me if i really went to the "nudist colony". I told them NO because my friend didnt go. But that i was still very curious and i saw no harm to the visit. Later I told them i went to a nudist beach and I loved it. They just laughed and approved my new behaviour. Since that day i have moved aropund the house with no clothes whenever i want. I tend not to abuse the situation ... and guess what? ..now they continue talking abt them joining the lifestyle. Conclusion ....gradually move ON and share it with them. Respect their opinion and do it when you can. Joint a Nudist Resort or Club and enjoy it there until the world gets more civilized and accept it. The Europeans are more tolerant of the style since they are more educated than the rest of the world.
