I was thinking about ancient architecture recently. They were amazing even thousands of years ago. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, the Colossus of Rhodes, the Lighthouse of Alexandria. The pyramids were built when the Egyptians were still in the bronze age. And the clepsydra, or ancient Greek and Roman clock. Because as one message board pointed out, that was the real modern era. After humans had been here thousands of years. It is only ancient to us chronologically. And then Christianity and dark ages came, basically.
