In your opinion what cactus is the best? Peyote, San Pedro, or the Peruvian Torch cactus? From best to least, how would you rank them? You are weighing how easy it is to prepare, eat, and how good the trip is.

    As far as I have taken and read, this is how I would rank them from best mescaline cactus to least mescaline cactus;

    1. Peyote
    2. Peruvian Torch
    3. San Pedro

Note that I haven't tried peyote, but since it was banned and I hear it is easier to trip from and easiest to prepare, I guess I would rank peyote at the top. But I have only tried the latter 2.

Uhm, I'd say San Pedro and Peruvian Torch, because they grow incredibly faster than peyote. A field of San Pedro and Peruvian Torch vs. a field of peyote would produce much much more.

I'm going to have to agree with that fully.

As far as individual potency goes I would say peyote, peruvian torch, then the San Pedro.

Peyote is the strongest, followed by P Torch and than San Pedro.

I would say peyote is the obvious #1, there are arguments for both, P.tourch and pedro.

Pedro is more consistant in its potency where P.tourch goodies can varry quite a bit, with different cactus genetics. On the hole I would go with P.tourch as #2 (It has the potential for higher mesc. than Pedro)

I am gonna say san pedro is #1 because it is so much esier to use make etc. I would say if you just went weight by weight with comparing only the skins and dark green underflesh of the pachanoi, i would say the mescaline weight ration would be quite diffrent.

San Pedro has very small spines too, makes it easy to handle and harvest. Grows faster than P. Torch

recent observations indicate that the T. bridgesii complex needs added to the list... their unique alkaloid combination has been gaining a whole lot of respect lately, and probably should be ranked in the top 2 or 3

SWIM's example is still too young to harvest but published reports are that the T. bridgesii f. monstrose variant is very desirable

(big plus.... its also very easy to correctly identify, I'd say probably the easiest LOL, biggest prob with peruvian torches currently on the market is half of them are not the real deal)

FWIW, sacredsucculents's proven performer "T. sp.SS02" is supposedly a distinct T. bridgesii form

Actually, contrary to common belief San Pedro usually has a higher mescaline content than Peruvian Torch. Theres documented evidence.

Peruvian Torch usually has a wider stalk, which can be misleading seeing as how most people gauge dosage by the length of the stalk they ingest.

San Pedro is far cheaper too...

    T. Bridgesii is by far the most energetic and euphoric of the bunch. It has been an all time favorite, much more so than Mr. Pedro, or his anemic cousin Mr. Torch.

I have never had peyote, and probably never will, there is just too little of this wonderful cactus left.

peyote is pretty much illegal so looking at it from a easy to get way, i would say san pedro first or peruvian torch. there is more facts about san pedro than T. peruvians. but the mescaline content in san pedro is averged at .12% fresh, and 2-3% dry (100 G's of dried cacti yields 300 mg of mescaline). but T. peruvians are said to be as much as 10x stronger then San Pedro. but honestly it varies from plant to plant and the growing conditions etc....

i dunno man i have researched a shit load and overall i think T. peruvians are more potent than San Pedro. san pedro is just alot more commonly talked about. Also i have heard the green flesh is what you consume and the white flesh can make you sick when consumed. which makes sense because the "drug" mescaline, the whole purpose of it in the plant is to be used as a natural insectiside. so why would that shit be in the middle where it is least vulnerable to insects and such... i mean im sure that it has some... possibly... but i would strait up just eat the green shit :) and then judge your dose on weight... that is the safest way. and possibly work up to a Entheogenic dose so that you know your plant because it all varies. and that way your not trippin for a couple days or a week haha. unless you want to!! that would be down. as fuck.
