Have you come across any bisexual men or gay men that helped be postive inspiration in your life …not jus have amazing mm sex. majority of the men who I have slept with or have had relationships…have made me better person today not jus having great sex …many other ways.
I really had to think about this. Since I never had a mentor in these things, I can't say - or remember - any bi or gay person who was a positive inspiration. There was a guy who I admired for his courage and determination to keep exploring his bisexuality despite being wheelchair-bound by MS and other ailments. The gay man who was my boyfriend, well, I learned some stuff about his gayness and how he viewed being gay; he was an amazing person but I wouldn't say that he was a positive inspiration because long before I met either of these men I had to provide my own positivity and more so when it was likely that I'd encounter bi and gay men who were of that "poor me - the world hates me" mindset. I do suppose that one can take positive inspiration from that mindset as in how not to be a man who isn't straight and understanding that it's not my fault that the world and societies don't understand what it means to not be fully heterosexual.
I only had one great male lover (FWB) for many years. We kinda learned together, patient, enthusiastic, honest and horny. We more or less introduced each other to gay love, it was wonderful. However I have to give some credit to Elton John. He said back in the 70’s, everyone is a little bisexual. As a macho high school male I said no fucking way. BUT, I did remember him saying that and once I realized I was bisexual I flashed to EJ’s comments, actually made me feel better. That SOB was right.
