Dogs are very territorial about food. It's never wise to feed them together. Two dogs fought over that for years, biting my maternal grandmother's hand once leaving a big gash when I was 3. We all had to go there and stand in corners with brooms because those dogs were ready to kill each other. Always feed dogs separately.
