For those of you that mention you haven’t worn shoes for a couple weeks, I’ve always wondered; a) What kind of job do you have that you don’t need to wear shoes and are they hiring? : ) b) Doesn’t it bother you going barefoot into public restrooms? I think I can handle any surface, but have problems with going barefoot in public restrooms. Not saying I’ve never gone barefoot into public restrooms, at the local outdoor concert venue I’ve kicked of my flip-flops once or twice and went to the restroom– that was after a couple beverages. c) Do you respect NSNS establishments by wearing shoes into them and/or going somewhere else or do you enter them barefoot any way? Bud * Always loved going barefoot but just recently been going barefoot in public establishments
I have not worn any shoes for at least one month, well, ok, I've cheated by wearing flip flops in some stores to avoid any possible confrontation. My wife and I have recently relocated from Ohio to Arizona, so we are both between jobs. True, I will have to end up wearing shoes someday soon, but for now it's time to keep those shoes and socks OFF! BTW, I have gone barefooted in public restrooms just as long as there are no cuts or sores on my soles, just to be safe.
i'm a full-time mom. my kids go barefoot too, when they want to. i'm usually not bothered by public restrooms, but the floors of some taxicabs scare me. i wouldn't want to put my feet on some of them even if i was wearing steel-reinforced work boots! as for NSNSNS businesses, it depends on the place. i haven't had a problem in starbucks, dunkin' donuts, rite aid or 7-11, but that's usually wearing long bellbottoms and sole-less sandals. most of the time i carry sandals with me, and put them on upon entering, because i don't feel like dealing with the shoe police.
lol... I've wondered the same thing myself. I would love to have one of those jobs where you don't hafta wear shoes.
A. It just depends what line of work you are in. If you were employed as a lifeguard on a beach or as a music teacher giving lessons out of your home or as a karate instructor for instance, you would not have to wear shoes at all. B. What are you afraid of man? stepping in some urine or something.... oh no... God forbid! C. If an establishment is going to be discriminatin on my feet, I'll take my business elsewhere....don't bother me
I'm not barefoot 24/7 now, but I was at one time back in college....I worked in a bookstore, and the owner was always kicking off her Birks as soon as she got to work, and didn't care if I wore shoes or not, so I was usually barefoot. As for public restrooms, they don't bother me too much, as long as I don't have any cuts or scrapes on my soles and there isn't pee all over the floor. NSNSNS stores? I go barefoot anyway...usually get kicked out, or get The Stare, but sometimes no one says anything...gotta love those small victories
im always barefoot. im a nanny so i can get away with being barefoot all the time. the kids are always barefoot too around the house. but once we go out they wear sandals cuz i dont want to be responsible for them stepping on glass or anything. i always watch where i walk and occasionally throw on the birks when i feel like not creating chaos or bad looks. more power to the barefeet! peace
A.no job B.dosent bother me cuz i wash my feet so much C.i take my bussenss elsewhere if they dont want mine...but most people dont say anything barefoot 24/7
hate to be nit picky about this, but I think it's law to wear shoes and shirts in stores etc. I'm not saying I agree with it, but that's usually the reason for the signs...fuck em all!
There are NO Health Department or Motor Vehicle laws in ANY state forbidding bare feet in stores, restaurants or driving. I go barefoot everywhere, including restrooms. Never had any problems, however, I avoid getting my feet wet as I like them dirty. Urine is sterile so there is little, if any, chance of contracting any health risk from stepping in it. If someone tells you that you are violating a law, ask for the statute number. Every law has a statute number. Ask to see the law in writing. All laws are public information. Put THEM on notice.
a) What kind of job do you have that you don’t need to wear shoes and are they hiring? : ) If I am seeing customers I wear shoes, if I'm working from home (as is often the case) I'm barefoot b) Doesn’t it bother you going barefoot into public restrooms? Yes it does. I try to stay out of them. c) Do you respect NSNS establishments by wearing shoes into them and/or going somewhere else or do you enter them barefoot any way? I go in anyway, usually with no problems. If they complain I'll take my barefoot business to someplace that dosen't mind my bare soles.
I'm just glad its summer. One time at school, i took off my shoes at recess and a teacher told me i had to put them back on! I was so mad but i had to listen to him. Oh and if you havent already guessed i love being barefoot too. Peace, LittleHippy
I know man, same happened to me! I took my shoes off in class and this girl points at me and screams in a shrill voice, "EEEWWWW!!!! FEET!!! PUT THEM AWAY!!!!! EWWW!!!" The teacher made me put my shoes on, and I was forced to listen too... and then i said to the girl who'd been so scared of my feet, "Hey. What do you do when you take a shower??" she looked at me strange. I guess she didn't think it was funny.... oh well. ~~~~peace hip folk~~~~~~
Geez, they are just feet, come on! How does this girl change her socks? I swear if feet would be detachable some would throw them away.
