I don't like what is generally offered for birthday cards, so I often buy a postcard with a much prettier pic on it and send that and maybe an intersting article/essay.
i mae my own cards out of photos i have taken or i draw/paint them... its a little more creative than the usual crap.
I like to make my own. Then I can personalize it for the occasion, and person. My wife has a birthday comming up, and she loves[/] cats/kittens. I can add personal text. and use different paper types. Plus, you can get TREE freindly paper these days! WIN/WIN deal!
My parents have this McTavishes greetings card that is reusable that is filled in by pencil so it can be rubbed out and used again. They tick a box for the occasion and keep sending it back to eachother.I bit of joke as Scottish people are supposed to be tight with their money. For the record I am ¼ scots.
e-cards are popular inmy family. I'm so far the only creator of the cards. Everyone else goes to sites for theirs.
For my birthday, by Grandma sent me a card with my name on a sticky note on the envelope, and a message on another sticky note, so i could reuse the card. It was probably the funniest thing I had seen in a while.
