hi women i don't know if you all have experience this, but i have a 'happy trail' you know.. like hair growing down from my belly button. i know it's no big deal, but it's always really bothered me. i plug it usually, just some of the darker, coarse hair but now i have these like..ingrown hairs that won't go away! even after i've gotten the hair out, theres still this like red spot thats very visi ble. i have about 3 on my stomach right now. it's terrible! any suggestions on how to get rid of the red mark and ingrown hair and then maybe the hair in general? thanks!
Well, stop plucking them out, let them grow and wax them away!! they will grow back much thinner and lighter if you keep doing it.
why get rid of em at all? prsonaly ilike the happy trail bot maybe try a lil dab of vitamin e or something sometimes though ingrown hairs can trap bacteria and get lil infected so maybe lil teatree oil wouldnt hurt either id then just leave it be at least till the iritation goes away
i'm quite a hairy person and i have a "happy trail." it doesn't bother me that it's there. i hurt when I shave. I have uber sensitive skin. just leave it there! hair is natural!
well if you want the hairs to be gone let them grow out then get em waxed maybe once a week. personally i think happy trails are sexy it's a big turn on for me. but if you dont like the hair there then get it waxed dont pluck pluckin is just too painful and easy to get ingrown hairs.
No it isn't the same. When you pluck them out, you leave some of the hair root behind, and when this is the case, this causes the hair to grow back thicker. When you wax, you are not plucking, the wax comes in direct contact with the skin, pulling out any residue of the hair... I've tried this lots of times, i used to pluck my happy trail and got massive red bumps and thicker hair. Once I started waxing, the hair grew back thinner and took longer for the hair to grow back too. So its not such an odd response after all.
Cool, cause I have the same "problem" with the red bumps and all and I didn't think waxing was the solution. How long do uyou have to let it grow?
I used to have quite alot of hair there, mostly I just cut it with scissors - plucking was just tooo painful. But, it's mostly all gone now, going bald down there, I guess. Hahahahaaha!
Hair doesn't actually grow back thicker, the blunt ends of the hair growing back make it appear thicker, until it has grown out more.
Also, when you shave or pluck what can happen is that the hair folicle breaks in 2 now you have 2 hairs growing out of one hole making it look thicker.
i've never yet, even once, come across anyone who's objected to a few scattered hairs ANYWHERE on my body, except armpits.
exfoliate the skin where the ingrowns are ... make sure you have open your pores when you remove hair... and perhaps consider electrolysis
i have really white skin and really dark body hair, but i dont let my happy trail bother me. i think its kinda cute
