How harsh is salvia smoke on the lungs?

 

pretty damn rough......it almost ruins a blunt

 

I don't think it's all that bad, especially out of a water pipe. The taste is another story, though...ugh.

 

i find out of a regular pipe its really hot.. but through a water pipe i find its way easier to take large hits and hold them in then it is with weed

That's true, as I've been regularly smoking tobacco (pipe tobacco) for a few weeks now and it wasn't all too bad. The taste though, yes, that was quite gross. I'm a minor, so I couldn't buy a water pipe if I wanted to; I need a job anyhow. I did see a nice double chamber buibbler after I bought the salvia (5x extract).

I dunno, I felt something, like I was physically empty inside, but then there would be that stinging from the smoke when I'd take another hit. Salvia is a wierd drug; maybe I should try a stronger extract next time.

if you cant buy one.. make one.. (not a shitty soda bottle tho, those are always harsh as a mofo) but make a nice one.. it'll be pretty cheap to just go to a home depot or whatever not too hard.. or find someone thats 18.

or make a gravity bong.. never tried it with salvia but i'm sure it would work good

 

Where do you get your tobacco? I've bought a used tobacco pipe, a briar. It's nice, but I can't find anyone to get some for me. I might try an indian reseration here, they might have some. Also, what would you reccomend for a first good smoke?

 

The gravity bong concept is great for alvia smoking. We have a large one built that is pretty complex, but the idea is simple. For an easy to make one, do this:

1) Get two two liter soda bottles and cut the bottoms off.
2) Push the bottles' bottoms together, and tape them together with a lot of duct tape. Make it where the device will hold water without leaking. When the two bottles are together, you wan the whole deal to be a little taller than one whole, uncut 2 liter.
3) Put the top on one side of the bottles, and fill the thing all the way up with water. Put other top on.
4) Put in fridge til the water is cold.
5) Take it out of the fridge and take one top off.
6) Make a nice foil bowl that will seal well in the top of the bottle. It needs to have a tight seal, so put a rubber band on the bottom around the foil and the bottle top so it is good and airtight.
7) Pack the bowl full with salvia.
8) Get a bic lighter and make it like crack lighter style with about a 2" flame.
9) Hold the gravity bong over the sink.
10) Hold the flame over the bowl where it will light the salvia.
11) Remove the bottom lid, and let the water drain out. It will suck the smoke down into the bong.

After the water is gone, take the bowl off, and put your hand over that hole. Then draw smoke in throught the other, controlling the flow with the bowl side hole. The smoke is nice and thick, and very cool. It makes the experience much easier on the lungs, and easier to hold in longer. There are other ways to make gravity bongs, but this style works best if you take the time.

 

My dad buys the stuff and I just mooch some if it sometimes. It's Black Cherry, that's all he gets, so I couldn't advise you as to which is best to try first. I use a glass pipe (I'm going to use it for bud when I'm off UAs), and it hits hard, so be careful with that stuff. It damn near makes you cough up a lung if you haven't at least smoked some other substance frequently previously.

 

Is it Pipe tobacco or Rolling tobacco? Cause you know your not supposed to inhale pipe tobacco, right? It's really cancerous man.

 

Is it? You mean, more than cigar tobacco? I don't think so, because pipe tobacco is normally mixed with some other flavours and stuff like that... anyway, i just loooooove tobacco, makes me feel really confortable

PS: BTW, while smoking a cigarrillo, I inhale the smoke. Its a nicotine punch :S!

 

You must be thinking of cigars... You're not supposed to inhale cigar smoke; it can make you sick.

 

Well, I meant cigarillos about inhaling the smoke. You know, it's the size of a cigarrette, but it's made just with tobacco leaves. Cigarillo smokers do inhale the smoke. And there are now filtered cigarillos, less damaging for lungs!
Try it. I'm serious. It's really good. Strong, though.

 

Is it like that Spirits brand? I've seen those in local headshops...

 

1 problem w/ a gravity bong (especially if your not used to it) you're gonna have trouble holding the hit in

 

Dont know, but you have prolly seen a box of La Paz or Davidoff cigarillos! If you see it buy it! You'll like it.
Oh, and you may want to explore other pipe tobacco brands... do it, so many different tastes...
