You can't prove God's existence with words. You can't prove God's existence through miracles and attributing them to God. If God is omnipotent, obviously only God can prove that God exists.

Who would God make Its presence known to? The one who seeks and believes in God, or the "rational" person who is certain God does not exist? The answer seems obvious to me.

Aside from that, it's perfectly obvious that God exists. God must be, at least, something. Actually everyone believes in God, they just don't agree as to what God exists as "at most". People don't bother with these glaring details, so they just keep on arguing in circles. It seems as though they prefer to argue in circles, to bolster their ego, rather than to coexist in harmony. No, their way of life has to be the correct way, or how can they be justifiably happy? Everyone else is wrong and stupid.

I have accepted God into my heart and have been saved and baptised. I was active in church camp, going church conventions, being a teacher for the toddlers in sunday school. SO I am educated as being true christian. And what they believe and the faith.

So ignorance isnt an issue. I drew away from it from my own experiences and studies.

You know, anyone can take into a religion and it has been proven that you have the power to mind over matter.

There was a man who was captured and his captors told him he was to be tortured and they blindfolded him and scratched his legs and used water to make him think he was bleeding to death. He thought he was and had a heart attack and died.

 

Oh, and if God would show his existance to someone he would actually chose a NON believer, to prove that he is true so they can tell the others.

 

god is the creator. we were created. whether you believe we were created by a sentient being, by existence itself, or believe that existence it'self is a sentient being, we were created, and what we call god is the creator. therefore god exists. arguing over what god is is stupid and pointless.

 

OK, now I'm wiccan (I have an alternitive view of god/ess where whoever we call god or godess is a bi word of nature) but I am an ex-aithiest. I have two points to make:

1. As on Douglas Adams said: Proof denies faith, without faith god is nothing. Kinda Ironic I must say with aload of religions trying to prove (their) god exists.
2. Can we dis/prove god exists to a person of his/her view of god is not the 'Big fuck-off bloke with a beard' view? I hold the view that god is nature, due to that fact nature and the natural world affects who we are, what we do, where we do it, why and what time. Nature also affectivly creates and kills us. So therefore, in my view nature is what people origionaly called 'god'. This view is also flexible moraly as it does not get in the way of science, or general morality.

So yeah, it may not be everyone's view and I can smell a flaming comming on. But really, hear me out! I'm not saying 'join my religion' or 'your wrong', I'm just givin' my view. And I don't like Zealots.

my views fall somewhere near yours. i call myself an atheist, because i dont believe in God, that guy who knows all, sees all, and controls all. but i still believe in something larger and far more complex than the human mind can comprehend. maybe its Gaia, or aliens.

What if there is no "creator"??? Evolution is proven to exist, hell we have evolved soooo much. were bigger, taller, huge compared to the early humans.

One night, when I was truly faithful with God, and was very active in our church community, I prayed, and God answered and told me what I must do. Then i opened my eyes and looked around for a sec, soak it all in, and I realize, its NOT god that was answering me, it was MYSELF. Alot of people have done the same thing.

Every bad thing that happens, its for this beautiful reason in "gods plan". There are SOOOOOOOOO many people in parts of Africa that are just dying slowly and all of them have AIDS. Theres CHILDREN that go to school and feel depressed, and then come to school one day with a gun and shoot a large number of children, teachers. and then themselves. Or the old men who have the children porns, that molest as many kids as they can, and ruin those girls lives forever. Or the women who get pregnant and think to themselves, hmmm. I dont want to have a baby right now.... and then get an Abortion. Dont forget all the abusive women who take their kids to the hospital all the time and when know one is looking they inject shit (literally) into them, so theyre sick longer, and so the mother would stay in the hospital. OR the millions of VERY religious catholics that enjoy molesting little choir boys. But the have too many secrets to even type about. Then there are the people who are the sweetest, genuine people that just are so unselfish, Always smiling,the people that MAKE you believe that there is ACTUALLY good in the world, And they are the ones that are dying slowly or living in extreme pain, those are the ones who are sitting alone right now and know they dont have anyone, and just WAITING to die. WHAT about those people???? !!!!!!!

Show me the fucking beauty in gods plan with those people, and i would be impressed enough to believe that you do have faith in something that could possibly be real.

SERIOUSLY PEOPLE!!!!!! you make think that you know something, but you are simply guided by your own mind, your own hope and your own fear, ITs nothing but a shield to protect you. to ease your fears of life. That theres actually someone who will make it better. BUT if it doesnt happen, its gods will. THERE IS NO WAY THAT YOU CAN PRAY AND GOD ISNT REAL IF YOU BELIEVE IN BOTH. Its a way that preachers can help you keep the faith, so you can keep the tithes!!!

 

The universe has always existed, it wasn't created. Creativity is a secondary function of novelty so this "god" of which you speak is not even a primary idea.
