(One article I read said fornication statutes are rarely or never enforced, criminal cohabitation statutes are are rarely or never enforced, adultery statutes are are rarely or never enforced, and sodomy statutes were "sporatically" enforced, whatever that means.) But sodomy statutes were used in the abstract. To deny gay couples adoptions, to deny them anti-discrimination. George W.
