Key Parties

This is stuff of sexual legend by today's standards I think, but I was wondering if anyone has participated in a "lock & key" party.

For those who dont know what this is, it's a spin on a swingers orgy where couples arrive at a party and put their car keys in a bowl and then draw random keys of the other party goers. The key you pick is the member of the opposite sex that you get to have sex with. I dont know if many (or any) people are still into this kind of thing. Im very turned on by the idea and am curious what others think about it.

 

What if you pull keys of a fugly couple?!

 

Same thing I want to know. What if you don't like the person you picked. Can you get out of it ?

Im in the category of never done it, but want to, so i dont know ALL the rules. But i would assume you fuck whoever you pick. Fucking is fucking. Hopefully the people at the party are attractive! If not...fuck, do it anyway. Its fun! : )

When my wife and I were newlyweds, we were invited to a Christmas party, from my work's biggest client, that included a key party option. We were initially eager but changed our minds when we realized that we were the only ones in our age group, by far. We left as the pot of keys was passed around

My wife and I attended key parties back in the 70's and 80's. There were 5 or 6 couples that got together. We all knew each other. Pretty much a closed group. We met at one of our homes. Had drinks played cards or just hung out.
Later we would pull a set of keys from the box. Leave and go to our separate homes and spend the night.
Since we were all friends we never had a problem with being with someone we didn't like.

 

Wouldn't it be simpler to put your name on a piece of paper? The person you have sex with might keep the key a steel your car .

 

With a closed group like that, didn't the women learn which keys went with which man. After that it isn't really a random pairing.

 

I have an Ex, and we got invited to a lock and key party once, we didn't go, I wanted to, she didn't. But how I understand it works is they would put little pad locks on chains and the women would wear them like a necklace and then they had a bowl with keys and the men would take a key and see which lock it would open and that's the women you would have sex with, it sounded like great fun to me

 

Exactly this, whether it was men or ladies choosing keys, people knew which key fob to pick out, even if blindfolded they could feel which key fob to pick. Who would partner who was pre-arranged beforehand, often not even subtle, ladies asking to see what keys the guys had. Maybe that was to avoid them though, who knows.

I've done these parties too and they are so much better as they are much more random, padlocks get given out by the party hosts and all the keys look very similar so it is a truly random pick.
