Does anyone have some remedy for mold allergy besides getting shots? Every year in the fall, if I'm surrounded by oak trees, I get bad allergy attacks after rain hits the fallen leaves. It's a real drag because it drags on for weeks! I just got it as bad as ever this week. Wish I was back in a desert.
That is very interesting. Jane has an allergy to the pollen from all the street cherry trees that blossom in the spring. They cause her streaming nose and eyes for a couple of weeks. Around this time of year, although more mild, the same happens. I wonder whether there's a connection.
UV-C lamps in the air handler, and far UV bulbs in some of the lamps throughout the house (I have 3). Turn on a ceiling fan or something to circulate the air, and turn on the near UV lamps when you leave for a while. You can also try a box fan with a HEPA A/C filter duct-taped to it on the exhaust side.
Oh I've already got a heavy duty Honeywell Hepa Air cleaner, as well as a smaller one in my bedroom. It helps, but still I have breathing issues. Stopped toking, doesn't help. Don't have an air handler other than the cleaners. Never heard you could use UV on mold spores, but that's interesting. Some mold spores resemble COVID-19.
