I was telling people once, animals may have a built-in religion in their brains. But like with humans, it probably is all fiction. It's called the social construction of reality. And it helps you organize life and deal with things. And deal with emotional issues. Maybe Lions believe in the god Org. Or maybe they believe rocks roll down hills because they are alive too, IOW animism. I don't know. Thoughts?
"And it helps you organize life and deal with things. And deal with emotional issues." I agree. Because wouldn't it actually help survival, if animals find ways to organize, deal with situations, and more? Even if it probably is fiction. If they have some stability and know at least a little bit about life and how to deal with others, they'd maybe be less anxious and able to think clearly because they know something at least.
