The movie is a psycadelic experience in itself. Watching while on mushrooms was nearly too much to handle!
My dad is buying them all on dvd...he likes the extras...i also bought some monty python's holy ale the other day ... lol
I've seen Yellow Submarine on mushrooms, not on acid......yet. I'm a Beatles fan so needless to say it was great, the soundtrack is awesome! I've seen the film sober/stoned many a time and I've ssen it tripping twice. The first time I was on a trip with hardly any visuals, just a good feeling y'know? It just made me very warm and fuzzy inside and the music was mindblowing. The second time I had 30g of fresh shrooms (10g would be a decent trip for me) and the film was better in some respects, worse in others. Even though I know the script almost word for word, there was no apparent storyline, just scene after scene of colour! I've never had such intense visuals in my life! The only part I can remember is the "All you need is love" part. I was a bit more "with it" by now and I thought it was so symbolic and beautiful how the power of music was stopping the blue meanies. I was like "Guys, he's right y'know. Love is ALL you need" in a very serious manner. Only me and my friend were tripping with five drunk people, who just laughed and said I've lost the plot. Oh, if only they knew.................
lol i dig it i have never seen it stoned but i have seen it drunk...i love the movie for its music, positive vibe and all the groovy colours! i plan on getting a yellow submarine tattoo in december.
saw it many times sober or stoned, but when i watched it on acid i had to look away from the screen for a few and collect myself
for just over 2 months i was tripping once a week.. watching yellow sub roughly every other time as I was coming up.. and it made me a straight up peace & love & yes hippie for the time.. but I've opted now to merge the psych-reality with the ego-reality till I get things a little more straightened out.. as in get the hell outta my parents house... they're all kinda freaked out by my changed... but suprisingly enough I think my dad might know what its all from
I watched this movie many times sober, but the greatest experience was watching it on mushrooms. It was so intense. After i watched the movie i kept on hearing george harrison saying "its all in the mind", and it made os much since. Such a good trip!
