Remember Alice In Chains?

alice in chains... the best band of the grunge genre. by far. with layne staley's powerful vocals and songwriting and jerry cantrell's amazing ability to play the guitar. their lyrics are powerful and depressing

 

i agree it a grerat band and they make great music but im just not really into that deppressing type of music. i dont like the angry killing type, i like the happy kind of grateful dead and jefferson airplane type of music.

 

but the 90's rocked man... i like alot of different types of music...psychedelic, classic rock, jam bands, grunge they all kick ass

 

ya they do its just wat they sing about that turns me off to most music

 

I ADORE alice in chains! My boyfriend and I listen to their unplugged album everytime were tripping...I just love their music..Laynes voice was amazing and their guitars sounded so intense and dark...I love them

 

i just got in to them and there pretty damn cool

 

too bad layne died or maybe they'd still be making music. i only own dirt by them which in my opinion is flawless. i've been meaning to pick up some of their other albums.

 

AiC do indeed rock, yet too much of them hurt my face...

 

im sorry, but i have to correct something. layne only sang. jerry cantrell did almost all of the wrtiting (except jar of flies when jerry made the others write). but yes AIC is the best band of that genre...temple of the dog is a close second

not serious, but I love them. I love the lyrical content over anything.

 

True on the first album but after that Staley at least wrote basically all the lyrics if not some of the music, such as angry chair, head creeps etc. He even plays guitar on the third album.

 

thats not true jerry wrote lyrics on all they're albums
on dirt and facelift he wrote almost half the lyrics and all the music
(except angry chair, hate to feel and rain when i die)
on jar of flies and s/t it was more them writing music as a band
with layne and jerry writing the lyrics

 

Just look at the album booklets, the writing is dispersed. Cantrell mainly yes, but not all.

The 90's music did kick ass alice in chains and blind melon are my two favorite bands there both from the ninties now all the music is either rap or some gay ass wannabe punk band like lincon park

 

who could forget AIC? One of the greatest band ever. One near the top of a long list. Mad Season was also one of my favorites. They weren't quite as popular.

 

Man, that guy had a fuckin set of vocal cords, didn't he. Damn, just hearin tha first line from "Man in the Box" gives me shivers every time.

 

AIC are the fucking boom diggy! They were so amazing, well cromulent! By far the best grunge band, they make nirvana seem inferior.
