Does anybody else find it to be really slow growing??

When making a cutting, and the end goes brown in the water, does this mean that there is no way of saving it, or can it still root????

    yes slow

change water for cutting after 2 days - no rot
    brown sounds wrong
    takes ~2weeks to root enough
little white rootlets come from the bottom.

I have had a real headache with my salvia. Bought a lovely cutting a bout 6 months ago and it really flourished. Was about 2 foot tall and really healthy.
But whenever I tried to take cuttings they have ALL failed. Either growing small pale leaves or growing all bunched up deformed looking leaves.
We moved house a month ago and all the leaves fell of the big plant...no regrowth yet
