We really enjoy going to small unofficial nude places (no sign in no membership). We currently go nude at Playalinda at Cape Canaveral Florida, Apollo at the same, and along Ocracoke Island in North Carolina. Are there other places along the eastern seashore we could go? Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia? Also are there non membership places in the two Virginias to swim, camp, sun, in the nude?
I am planning to be near Ocracoke this summer. Could you drop me a line and let me know just where on Ocracoke you can go nude? I have been search online like crazy but am not finding anything helpful. Thanks!
yeah, i dont really get the membership, etc. of designated nude places. i just go nude on the more secluded beaches around my town, or walk down the beach away from the crowd. people walk by, but nobody really cares here. especially up the coast a bit theres a total hippie town and lotsa people go nude on the beach there. and theres a big public nude beach in vancouver, rec beach. its cool there.
this is one reason why I can't wait until I move to BC...ontario, nearly everyone is a prude when it comes to nudity.
sorry guys the only informations i have is for greece,if u visit greece let me know and i will give u informations where to go naked..
I've found a few in France and Spain. Peace and quiet when sunbathing reading a book is a lovely way to relax.
The status of most of Ocracoke Island is the same as major portions of Hatteras Island and Pea Island, to the north. It is National Park Service land where swimsuits are officially required, but most of the beaches are isolated and empty, most of the time. You just park along the side of the road (NC-12) well away from other cars, walk over a low dune or in between dunes, and enjoy your own private beach. There is nobody around to see or care what you do. In the areas where private jeeps are not allowed on the beach, you are not likely to see anybody except the NPS beach patrol once or twice a day. When you see them coming, you just get in the water before they get close enough to get a good look. They will wave and keep driving, unless they see something that looks like a beer can. Technically, you could get arrested if somebody makes a complaint or you ignore a warning from the beach patrol, but the NPS only gets aggressive about alcohol. The National Park Service runs multiple campgrounds on the North Carolina Outer Banks, but these tend to be within walking distance of busy family beaches and beaches where fishermen are allowed to drive on the sand. You have to drive away from the campgrounds to find a private spot. North of Corolla, you can drive (4WD required) on the beach all the way to the Virginia state line, where there is a barrier. You can park there and walk north into the False Cape State Park, another unpopulated beach where you can usually make your own rules. Bald Head Island is at the mouth of the Cape Fear River near Wilmington. It is privately owned and allows no cars, but you can go over on the ferry and rent a golf cart for the day. Half a mile north of Cape Fear, you are far enough away from houses and condos that you may not see any other people, except at the southern end where folks look for shells at low tide. That strip of sand continues on for a mile or two north. I have never seen an NPS ranger out there. Be aware that the water north of Cape Hatteras is always colder than it is south of the Cape, because the Gulf Stream turns northeast at that point.
Lots of places have "unofficial" nude spots. Here in Tucson it's Tanque Verde Falls. And people have told me they hike out in the desert nude. Personally, I don't think I'd try that ... catclaw or cholla thorns in sensitive body parts is bad enough fully clothed. I can't imagine it nude. And then there's always my backyard. It's nice and private and no danger of being hassled.
