Ok I just got my tongue piercing bout 5 days ago, and just noticed my piercing is bit to the side. Like is not fully in the middle, you know. Anyways wondering if its normal or ok? I cant do anything now, but still wanna know
Does it feel okay there? Do you have any issues with the way it looks? Check underneath. Did they pierce it slightly slanted to avoid hitting the webbing underneath your tongue? Yes, it's normal, and VERY common, for a piercer to do tongue piercings slanted to avoid piercing through the webbing underneath your tongue. If that doesn't seem to be the reason, and you have any issues with the way it looks/feels, perhaps go to another peircer for a second opinion (make sure piercer #2 doesn't have any issues with piercer #1, there's a lot of competition in the industry and piercers sometimes talk shit that isn't true about other piercers) and see if they can/will do it better if you take the piercing out. On the other hand, if you're not really worried about it and just wondering, it's fine as long as it feels fine and heals okay.
well Im not really worried bout it just noticed it but other friends of mine who got it tells me its not to get the nerves and the webbing. Thanks tho very much.
got mine done about a month ago and for about the first week i thought it was slanted back but it turned out to just be the swelling lol after it went down its straightend out so maybe thats got somethin to do with urs? iono
another question, my gf has a tongue ring and so do I. If we kiss, like french kiss, would we get stuck or get it pulled?
Theres a possibility. One question. It seems a lot of people say Ring even when referring to a Bar. If you both have rings.. there wont be much chance of them catching on each other really.. If one of you have a bigger ring the other one may be able to catch inside of it i guess. If both have bars (more common) they could catch each other lightly but no problems there. If one of you have a bar, and the other a ring, thats where you may have fun little issues. If the ring is quite small so theres not much room between it and the tongue, but the bar finds its way into it, then you may find yourself stuck and having to mess with it to get it out. Just stay cool if anything hooks each other..
My friends tounge piercing is off to the side because she had a vein right in the middle of it. But out in the sticks could be right as well. Ive heard somone else say that from ym school
Mine was a little crooked to begin with, because of the swelling. It was always kinda slanted but hard to tell to others. When I got mine done, my b/f at the time had his tongue pierced also and we never had a problem.. we both wore 'bars' and they never got caught. We didn't french kiss for at least a week, though, because it was uncomfortable. Good luck with your new piercing! Just make sure to keep rinsing it with listerine, especially after eating/smoking/kissing/oral because until the piercing has completely healed over (which could take a couple of months) you're still at high risk for infection. Mine got infected and it wasn't pretty... after that I kept a pocket-sized bottle of listerine on me at all times and rinsed religiously.
