Top or bottom terminology for oral

This doesn't apply to me because I'm versatile, but I've got a purely curious question.

I know top and bottom in sex is bottom receiving and top is giving.

But is the same terminology used when it comes to blowjobs? Because the person sucking is technically "giving" the action which would make them the top. But it feels like it should be the other way round??

Or is the terminology just irrelevant?

 

When I'm with a man I consider myself to be an "Oral Bottom", as in I'm the one sucking the dick. Usually it turns into mutual oral, but my absolute favourite encounters have been with "Oral Tops", guys who just want me to blow them and leave.
