The Japanese emperor, Hirohito, was very evil. Almost as bad as Hitler. He experimented on US soldiers, he did horrible things to his own people. And he died still as emperor, rich and happy too, in 1989. So he was none worse for the wear. I know in the 80s Japan was saying it was the victim of US aggression in WW2, and the dropping of the atom bombs there.

First of all (don't get angry when I say this, don't get angry, don't get angry), we kind of had to drop the atom bomb. Because Emperor Hirohito was going to prolong the war forever. He was the infallible Sun god. And he had nothing to lose. Just the lives of Japanese soldiers. Like he cared. But we didn't have to drop it on two populated cities in Japan. Maybe we could have dropped it on some unoccupied island. But we had to prove to him we had it, it worked and we weren't afraid to use it. So maybe then, like I tell people, we could have just dropped it on one of his many palaces, that was isolated from people. When he wasn't home. Or even better yet when he was home.
