    /ˈaˌjəNG(k)t/
    noun
    1.
a thing added to something else as a supplementary rather than an essential part.

Ex. "computer technology is an adjunct to learning"

    Definitions from Oxford Languages

I added the above definition to tell you an interesting story. I started looking a porno magazines in high school. And in addition to the pictures, I found them very informative. For example, when you use pornography to masturbate to, you are using it as an adjuct to masturbation.

That's actually the correct or preferred term. Or at least it was in the 1980s when I first heard it. Sometimes pornography is used as an adjuct to masturbation. So if your doctor ever asks you, for example, So you own Hustler magazines? Do you own them so you can read the articles? Just tell him, no. I use Hustler as adjuct to masturbation. Then he'll probably just nod and make a note of it.
