i am considering getting this piercing. do any of you have any experience with one. I am worried about the possibility of losing sensitivity and pain during piercing. Do they really make sex that much better?

I don't have experience with a clit piercing. Though I would seriously reconsider my reasons for getting a genital piercing when I'm unsure in the first place if the reasons have no basis. If you're getting it just because you heard sex is better, and aren't even sure of the fact, and sound wobbly, then why are you considering any of it?

Sex can't be that bad now?

it doesn't hurt as bad as you think it is going to hurt. But, you will have to be a big girl and suck up some uncomfortablity in the days to come.

It made sex better, but don't know if it was the visability of the piercing or the piercing itself. Was it the stainless steel hoop through my clit that said "LICK HERE" or was it the hoop itself rubbing against a nerve cluster? Who knows.

But ya, it you aren't sure, don't do it. Its a rather evasive procedure if you are ify about it.

I'm biased because I love them, so I would say YAY! But consider your reasons, like Hannah said. And go to a very experienced piercer.

I always wanted my clit pierced, finally got it done and hated it. I ended up taking it out after 6months. My friend said its because they pierced it with a 14gauge. It did always seem to get in the way, and it was always a little sore like it was too heavy.
But I have always heard that if you pierce it with a smaller gauge, your skin will push it out or it'll work itself out. Something to that effect.
I have several other piercings that are smaller than a 14 that I have zero problems with, but not on such sensitve skin.

Was my gauge too big? I was thinking trying like an 18 or 16. I dunno.
    What gauge is yours?

personally i think that if sex is to the point where you wanna get your coochy peirced to make it better.... then you aren't doing it right. sex is beautiful and amazing alone. you shouldn't need stainless steel to help! just my opinion..... :) have a good day

Since I'm a male I've never gotten that piercing done but from females who have it they've told me it doesn't hurt, and from all the piercings I've had done none of them have hurt either. I believe it'd increase sensitivity during sex, plus they look really sexy ;p

I have my HOOD pierced, you shouldn't get your clit pierced. And it feels good.

I don't know anyone who is stupid enough to actually pierce a clitoris much less actually have theirs pierced, but many ppl don't understand the difference between the hood and the clit...sadly enough, that is even without the piercing in mind. (Thank all that is good in this world for Eve Ensler, we need more ppl like her in our patriarchal shithole)

mine was painful but not as painful as my nipples. there was about a week of discomfort afterward, make sure you take good care of it.

    mine definately enhanced sex...

For me the nipple hurt way worse, it actually hurt. Persistent pain for like a month, but my hood was no problem. It was intense for about 15 seconds, that was it. My discomfort came later, but I think that was a mistake with the piercer and the gage.

    I think it improves sex.

It made me a much hornier person.

But my hood is pierced, not the actual clit.

Mine was sore for 5 days after the piercing, and my only instructions were to take a cup of hot water mixed with sea-salt and douse it over and over 3 times a day.

That was pretty uncomfortable but after it healed it is quite pleasurable.

Most people refer to a hood piercing as a clit piercing. Most women can't actually get their clit pierced..And most piercers won't do them..Only a handful with a lot of experience will do it. Elayne Angel (Master piercer ..she was the owner of Rings of Desire in Lousianna) is one of the pioneers in that area. Most common are the vertical and horizontal hood piercings..I have both..The vertical (VCH) is definitely an enhancer..I wear a curved barbell there. The horizontal (HCH) is decorative and I wear a circular barbell (horseshoe shaped). If you wear a CBR (captive bead ring) in the HCH and it is placed correctly the ball of the captive bead ring should rest on the clit, which would stimulate the clit when moved. I also have both nipples done. The VCH/HCH were a piece of cake compared to the nipples..Healing time is about 2 weeks for the genital piercings. Immediately afterwards if felt like I had nicked myself shaving..After the 1st day no pain..you just know it's there..Nipples can take up to a year + to heal and require a lot more aftercare. Hope this isn't too much info..

No, 14gauge should be the definate minimum. The smaller you go the easier it will be to RIP. Ive seen many at 10ga and larger, even piercing them at 10ga.

Its not always a bad idea. Just very risky. Especially on any that doesnt have a very large clit. For those who do have larger clits though the nerves can be spread enough to the point where the risk of damage is a lot lower and can be a very good piercing. Hoods are a lot easier however and generally more worthwhile.

Sex is good... But I find stainless steel makes it better for me, in the form of pinwheels or handcuffs or a bullet vibe.... etc ^^

I've always loved genital piercings, including male. A clitoral hood piercing seems a bit boring to me!! I'd love to get a triangle. The bar goes underneath the clit. If you pinch your clit, it goes in the gap underneath :) I think its a little more... Interesting, as people have said you get a totally different sensation from the underside :D
