Homosexuality is not a choice. It is complex, partly biological. But it is not a choice. Because frankly with the world the way it is, who would choose such a thing?

But now, hate. Hate is always a choice.

I understand where you are coming from, but when it comes to pleasure throughout the history of the human race "we" have always decided to do things that were considered immoral, unethical, religiously unacceptable and even illegal. Look at the vices of prostitution, gambling and drugs.

I don’t think being “ straight “ is natural or the norm. I believe if there wasn’t social pressure the majority of people would be bi/ pansexual.

Makes sense. Gives you more choices.

Are you implying homosexuality is immoral, unethical, religiously unacceptable and even illegal? (Well, we know most Abrahamic religions do find it pointedly unacceptable, and legality does actually vary in this fucked up world.)

Very true. Gender can be one major criterion, or can not be.

That was not my intent, but I am not responsible for antiquated laws, ridiculous religious beliefs or societal morals.

To be serious I kind of agree. The harder the stuff the more problematic. I stay the fuck away from it myself. But if you're passing a joint around don't pass me, pass to me!

Look at the social lives of bonobos, our closest ape relative by DNA. They are completely bisexual, and will have sex for fun, to soothe fights, and build bonds.

Sadly, the chimpanzee had its dna sequenced first draft Dec 2003, published Sept 2005. And it wasn't until June 2012 for the bonobo.

But because the chimp was first, with its violent agression, high testosterone, its behavior was compared to humans and people still falsely think it's our closest ape relative!

Imagine if the bonobo had been done first, or at the sane time?! How would media changed the public mindset describing the highly non monogamous and bisexual bonobo as a basis of human behavior?

But for that bit of bad luck, bisexuality (and homosexual sex) would be much more accepted than it is now!
