I went today into a glass shop, and you'll never guess what I found. Kratom! Oodles of kratom... And I said, "Hey, what's kratom?". She goes, "It opens your opiate receptors," and then more on it.

Is that true? Probably it would be regulated were it anything remotely opioid in nature, no? I don't believe her.

Anyway, there were ten kinds of kratom.

And salvia. Less salvia than kratom... Salvia, as far as I know is some kind of hallucinogenic plant species.

@soulcompromise they were talking about federal regulations for kratom "a while back" maybe 5-10 years. Don't remember what came of it.

One of these days I plan to check it out but recall reading it can cause liver or kidney damage if used on a regular basis like coffee.

From my understanding they found out the users were not using Kratom to "enhance" their opiate high. The users were using Kratom instead of using opiates... With our current opioid problem that was seen as a win so they dropped it. The tobacco store I go to sells a lot of it.

I've never used it (Kratom) so I have no idea what it's like... I don't like opioid/opiate highs in general. Not my thing. (Straight Poppy opium tar not included in that statement... You had to be there. lol)
