You know Elvis was not a great actor, but he was not that bad either. And he did make a few good movies, nothing really fancy but they were entertaining.--- For me in no particular order are:1. King Creole, good story, songs and Elvis showed he could act.--- 2. Roustabout, good light entertainment and the great Barbara Stanwyck co-starring.--- 3.Paradise Hawaiian Style, again good light entertainment, and even more so than Blue Hawaii, this film shows off the true beauty of Hawaii with outstanding camera work and they chose great locations when filming it.----4. Blue Hawaii ----What are your favorite Elvis movies, that is if you have a favorite?

i liked all of elvis's films.like you said he wasn't a great actor but he certainly had a very good on screen persona.the only film of his i saw on the big screen was the one he did in the late 60's with mary tyler moore "change of habit".my favorite though was"elvis:that's the way it is".it is a film showing him doing his las vegas show around 1970.fun watching him do some of his old favorites and some other popular songs from that era and his interactions with his audience.he put on a great show.

You're being very generous ... lol

I always enjoyed Blue Hawaii. I didn't see Paradise Hawaiian Style. I was born in Hawaii, and I love seeing it featured in movies.

I think of Elvis sorta in the same group with Ricky Nelson ... neither of them would ever win an Oscar, but they had a pleasant onscreen persona. And who cared about the movie as long as they sang :)

King Creole is good stuff, acting is okay, the songs are good, new orleans setting is nice, and Carolyn Jones too!

Roustabout is okay, but Stay Away Joe is so bad its funny. Flaming Star isnt even as good as that... I guess I dont like the westerns! The beach movies are okay, they all follow the same Clambake-style formula. Racing car theme is okay, Speedway and Spinout I always confuse the two.

Trouble with Girls is one of the first ones i watched, so i dig that one.

They are all watchable, theres way worse things to watch than elvis movies - at least you know what you are in for!

mmmm, if it's an elvis movie, i'm watching it - even Harum Scarum, lol! :D

i do have a few faves overall though, like King Creole (he did a great acting job, and Carolyn Jones has always been a favourite of mine), Viva Las Vegas (Ann Margaret and Elvis doing What'd I Say? - too cool for words!).....i really dig Live a Little, Love a Little (good songs, and i just dig his character's swingin situation), and Change of Habit always knocks me out!

of course, there's The Trouble With Girls and Fun in Acapulco (one of my fave Elvis movie soundtracks) - even Easy Come, Easy Go is a riot with Pat Priest doing her best to spoil the fun....

can you tell i love me some Elvis? ;)
