"A blog (a truncation of "weblog") is an informational website consisting of discrete, often informal diary-style text entries (posts). Posts are typically displayed in reverse chronological order so that the most recent post appears first, at the top of the web page. Until 2009, blogs were often the work of a single individual, occasionally of a small group, and often covered a single subject or topic.

"The emergence and growth of blogs in the late 1990s coincided with the advent of web publishing tools that facilitated the posting of content by non-technical users who did not have much experience with HTML or computer programming."

I don't do this anywhere else. Sometimes I will simply write SUBJECT lines with no text. This forces me to write during a month when I might normally ignore writing all together. Most of the subject matter is topics that have touched my life in some meaningful or significant way; love, food, education, belief systems, friends...

The blog is for me. Obviously, I put certain restrictions upon myself inasmuch as I would not share information that could come back to haunt me or to be used against me in an incriminating way. Here and there I have noticed there are people who have written rather lengthy comments. In the past, people have usually liked my work with a thumbs or or they might scroll a line or two. Recently, there have been commentaries that border on critique or editorializing. I had let them stay for awhile, but eventually I deleted them. I told the persons (in an aside) they if they wanted to express themselves, they should write blogs of their own.

My writing here is for myself. If I want dialogue I would post in a forum. If I want one on one snappy repartee, I will engage the person in a personal conversation here.

Just letting others know in advance. Don't be crushed if your comments/commentary are deleted. This is my semi-private space and I cherish it.
