Why do I need a Health care supplement?

In my opinion it's because the super rich --mainly the republicans have blocked the type of medical care that most civilized countries have ---single payer---to preclude the gigantic and obscene money it costs here to maintain ones health.

It is complicated. From what I understand the supplement picks up what medi-care doesn't. Then you have to have one for prescription drugs. Which some people have large sum in pills and other things.

I'm not an expert, they want money.
