I need a book that's almost like an encyclopedia on the 50&60's and possibly the 70's of the hippie era. I'm a new Hippie and i want to go into the whole idea, i know Timothy Leary has written some amazing books, but i'm not sure what to pick, crap with picking books! haha :sunny: Any suggestions?
You can read my book for free on http://www.hippy.com It's Hippies From A to Z. I'll soon be making it available as an E-book...
One awesome book I'm reading now is True Believers by Kurt Andersen. It's about this accomplished woman who is writing her memoirs. Throughout the book she keeps flashing back (every other chapter) to her life in the 60s. I recommend it for anyone, young or old, who would fancy themselves protesting the establishment.
I haven't seen Fallout. I love apocalyptic stories too. Odd Billy Todd is great, too. I'll check out Fallout. Terence McKenna-- not familiar with him. Does he write that stuff too? I love Stephen King, and The Stand is terrific, as well as Cell.
