So you think we evolved from one cell..Monkeys to man. All the theories and not one solid answer.

God created everything and the answers are right there in the Bible. Don't believe what people say about the Bible. Research it yourself.

i don't think i've ever seen a confusing typo or grammatical error corrected in a title. only weird random changes that alter the meaning of a title, often making it less accurate.

of course, i could see someone changing this one just to prove me wrong. which i would be ok with.

 

Even the Pope believes in evolution

Belief is the wrong word. Even the Pope has examined the science behind the (scientific) theory of evolution and determined it to be a highly likely explanation for life as we know it.

Science and religion dont have to be mutually exclusive

 

Oh just fyi, a scientific theory is absolutely not the same as the layman's definition of theory

 

Evolution is a gift from God. However, ALL of the books on this planet, even the ones about God, were written by human beings. None can be trusted as ultimate truth.

Personally, I don't believe in hell. I'm certain it was created by churches as a way to take advantage of ignorant kings and peasants alike. Consider how long people of "faith" kept the written words of God to themselves.

While I have my own faith in God for a variety of reasons, the church is not one of them. I love their stories and some of their interpretations, but until God makes contact with you, you're just listening to human beings. Consider how many of them tell you to send your riches to God, but give you their address! A true church would have no wealth or need of bank accounts.

Consider Francis of Assisi, he was close to the truth.

I don't have a personal concept of a 'god', but if I were to chose one it definitely would not be the Fundamentalist Christian definition. The 'God' of the bible is evil.



I'm not a bible critic; a true critic would have much more evidence of the human origins of the bible. I have read the entire thing from cover to cover a couple of times (a boring experience as I recall) and was neither convinced by nor impressed with any of it. Some of it is damn right disgusting.

 

I grew up in a christian household and attended church several times a week. Its not really that I want to believe in evolution. Its that I am compelled by its consistency.

I had and still have many questions that I desire answers to and "god made it that way" doesnt satisfy my curiosity. Im sorry if that makes me stupid, but at least Im not hurting anyone because of what you think is ignorance.

If we evolved, where's the link? Why haven't they found it? How can evolution be consistent when it's only very inconsistent?

Why are the millions of monkeys and billions of humans and nothing in between? Where are all of our evolved human/ape links?
