I'm still mad about the end of Dexter Have you seen Shameless? Californication is also a good one, I think its still on Netflix
I can't stop binge watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, despite my having seem every episode, most several times.
I’m mad at the end of Dexter too. Kinda weird seeing him as a lumberjack in Astoria of all places. Still, I won’t let the ending ruin the whole series. Haven’t seen shameless. For a while I’ve been deliberately avoiding tv series. Because I become addicted easy. But I need an outlet for now.
I've been watching Vampire Diaries again, the first three seasons were great. After that, the series got really strange...too much witchcraft and not enough authentic vampire 'lore. So that, and then going to sleep soon. Hope everyone's first week in the new year has been good?
i used some of my old n-scale wheels and mechanisms to scratch build 1/4" scale 18" very narrow gauge, inspired by old industrial narrow gauge and the romeny hyth and dymchurch and tilden park, and my after the ecopocalypse furry world. the whole thing, except for the panhandle yard, is only 2 feet by 3 feet. all the room i have where i live really. 1/87th has lots more stuff available for it. but with severely limited space, plus i really love narrow gauge and how well it fits with the kind of world that makes me happy to imagine and i would like to live in. i would seriously consider the wonders of odd smallness for anyone who doesn't own their own living space. i just used the kato n-gauge unitrak i had accumulated over the years. the same guage in HO, would still be narrow, closer to 30" (actually 32"), which there still is quite a bit in some parts of mostly eastern europe. at any rate, in 1/87th there was eiger-bahn, joeff, and of course frary and hyden's carabasset and dead river for an example that was based on the maine two footers.
the only show i watch is the internet and i don't mean corporate media or sites on it either. when,if, the power goes out, there are these things called books. haven't bought many new ones the last couple of decades though, partially because the internet is more tempting, and partially because they've gotten a lot more expensive.
I usually get books from Good Will type stores. It takes awhile as most are just fluffy novels with no substance. But every so often I'll find a gem for a buck or so.
The wind is howling out there.....The snow is falling.....I hope we don't lose power today, as we often do with so many trees here falling on power lines somewhere. I don't think we will be going out there today with the dogs. There is small space heater fan on the counter now we had pointed in the birds' direction.......in the kitchen...and all the work the people did here with our heating system...this house is warm now........and we also block the cat door to the cold air coming in to the rest of the house from that room.....
I found it to be too 'californian' I guess. In a cliché/stereotypical kind of way. The basic premise lends itself well to make use of the stuff that guarantees popular ratings but they kind of went overboard with it. Besides, the same thing happened every 1 or 2 seasons (he sleeps with some stranger before he starts something new, then it appears the strangers man, bf or daughter is involved in the new thing he's gonna start. Drama assured. Oh yeah, and because he never knew it in advance he's always cool and innocent. Otherwise...). So its kind of cheap and easy scoring. But i wanna add it didnt actually was cheap (the relationships between all the main characters are solid worked out) and well acted. The season with the groupie and all the rock n roll stars was the least convincing.
