The Donald Trump Score Card

All I know is that this country has started to turn more towards being a shithole than away from it. And that happened in the last decadeish. I had hope for Obama with that whole "Time for Change" mantra I fell for when I voted for him. His youth, presentation, diverse racial background etc gave me hope for a better trajectory. I was wrong, I admit it willingly.

I don't like Trump. But I will give him credit. He says what a lot of people say amongst themselves as far as his candidness. He isn't, nor seem to have any plans to be, politically correct. Which to be honest may not be all bad. This country has become more towards a shithole in its constant attempts to re-label something shitty into something that we are supposed make not seem so.

If the people living in these shitholes want to come here for a better life, I welcome them. That is how this country was founded. I will give them opportunities if I can. But if they intend to come here to suck our resources, then I do NOT want them here. Bring us at the least somebody willing to work hard, do their part and get ahead by that principle. If they come from a shitty life, have no skills, have no resources, have nothing to lose by never being sent home, the least we can expect is that they be happy to work at a menial job until they can become better.

If I have a government telling me I have to provide them food, clothes, healthcare, education and a minimum wage of $15, because it has now somehow turned into their right, then NO I don't want them coming here.

 

I think that Trump calling any country a "shithole" is completely inappropriate for someone in his position. We are world leaders, not some fucking bloggers with some holier than thou rich guy fantasy version of how things should be for Americans.

It's absurd that someone with so little maturity is the President of the United States!

 

All the immigrants I know or have come across work very hard. My own little corner of America has many immigrants who are small business owners or who work in highly skilled positions for successful corporations.

What someone like Trump will never mention is that education is very important in some of these "shitholes" he mentioned. These immigrants want a higher education and they want to create opportunity in their lives

This whole idea that there's an influx of immigrants coming to milk the welfare state seems like nothing but Fox News propaganda. I have yet to see it.

Refugees get a stipend for a couple of years while they get acclimated to their new country, as I feel they should. I would love to see how the entitled people who bitch about it would react if they were ever put in a life threatening situation and had to flee their country suddenly.

I have seen both sides of the argument. Many that come here do come here to work hard and better themselves. But I have seen cities they come to turn into 3rd world countries when they come here to simply take advantage of the money that flows to them. Try spending time in some border cities in Az, Tx, or go to south Florida where they pour into Miami and are slowly consuming the state. I know that in places like Wisconsin that have a large population of Vietnamese that have started to scream about how they are taking down that state. We are screwed once they have a child here. The process turns to their favor since they have now created a U.S. citizen. We don't need anymore economic drains on our country.

When I left California, the Vietnamese had established themselves very well. Yes they were by and large hard working. Established themselves as business owners etc. To their credit. But they also brought about cities that were now more like the Vietnam they left rather than the America it was. A city named Garden Grove, had gotten renamed by the locals to Garbage Grove. We just handed it over to them since they had chosen to establish themselves there and they gave up trying to get the newly established Vietnamese immigrants to live like what that city was. Instead it just changed into a new Vietnam for them to have. Not saying thats all bad. Until they eventually overrun everything. If I want to live like that, I'd move to Vietnam.

 

I was just about to say immigrants are for the most part better educated than trailer park racist whites who support Trump.

 

Dearborn is a great example of successful immigrants who are educated, own car dealerships, restaurants, lawyer offices, doctor offices, and bakeries. Some towns around Detroit were an economic failure until the Arab Immigrants arrived and turned the economy around. Your opinion of Dearborn is based in hate.

Trump gave as his reason for cancelling a visit to UK as dissatisfaction with the sale and relocation of the U.S. embassy by Obama. This is obviously bogus. The real reason is that he knows the Brits would turn out en masse to protest his ass. He compounded the insult by falsely attributing the decision on the embassy to Obama, when it was made by G.W. Bush, for security reasons and under legal mandate. Trump is an embarrassment to the country. Instead of making America great again, he just makes us look foolish.

No shithole countries in the case of his statements in the last 24 hours. I have paid more attention to Trump since this thread was started than my entire life before this. Unskilled is not the same as unwilling to work and become skilled. Many of the immigrants are more willing to work than some Americans that were born here.

I doubt Trump is even aware of the actual relationship between the American and Norwegian military. They do train together because long before Trump they were nervous about Putin. They are a very small country but America used to be always willing to fight the Russians. Maybe not so much now with Trump. If told about the training exercises he might want them cancelled.

The minnium wage in the 1960's jutted for inflation would be $18 in 2018. You can play with those numbers a bit but even if you do the point is $15 is not an unreasonable economic request. It's only greed and the 1% that trick you into thinking it is. Your cost of goods will not be so high you can not afford them unless they trick you again and do it. Henry Ford understood no one could buy his cars unless he paid his workers enough to do it. When people are paid more the economy is better.


What you are calling not being "PC" is in fact a psychologically unstable man full of hate. I don't know what Obama could have done wrong for you to truly accept Trump as a better option. I don't know what is PC that upsets you so much. I will admit some people take it to the extreme now believing to me that they don't think someone has the right to offend them. But it's not like any serious laws on sportsmanship exist currently. And despite what some people want you to believe the outrage for this is in both political parties. These people are not a fringe that is given a serious voice.

So called "snow flakes" upset liberals too because they believe in free speech. Trump as an old man plays into the culture war. It's only young people who expect this treatment right? I come from an older time when this was not allowed. But in your workplace the HR department expects the same they have for the last several decades besides perhaps more respect expected and more things you can not say to gay and trans people. If that is not PC to you I can see why you like Trump and it's sad. Trump is not talking a few decades ago though he is talking per-civil rights movement. If that is your expectation of not PC you are fundamentally changing the American culture to one of racism. Dance around all you want and try to feel like you have been made a victim but it's not true.

What resources do you honestly think an illegal immigrant can access? They can not work in most jobs those they can will be under the table and they will always fear a 7-11 style raid ALWAYS. They can not get a bank loan or a credit card.They can not go to many doctors. Maybe if they are bleeding to death they could go to an ER and not be refusing treatment. But that is still a big risk to them and what kind of country wants to let any man die when they do not have to? As a first world country that's just human decency.

If you are afraid an illegal immigrant can take your job take a look in the mirror because you have made poor choices in life. You probably have less than a high school education and struggle with reading and writing English if you are honestly in competition with a Latin person for a job. I say Latin specifically because honestly most immigrants to America besides those are coming in speaking English currently. They are likely Chinese or European and coming for university. So when they come they will not be illegal. They end up staying if they like it here or a good job offer comes. But under Trump those kind of people are not coming. That means less money for university's to spend on American born students. The foreigners often pay more because they never paid any American taxes growing up. It's big picture long term things like this Trump does not understand. He says he is for Americans but he he hurts Americans. America landed on the moon on German technology. They would not have beaten the Soviets there had they not allowed Germans to come to America after the war. They did not treat every one as a Nazi or terrorist now. They saw that much like in the Middle East sometimes the people in power use the people for evil but not all the people are evil. The person who could put Americans on Mars is probably now staying in some Dutch or Chinese village. Maybe they will go to Mars.

He Irish didn’t bring political tyranny with them when they came over. Nor did they bring a religion with 7th century beliefs that oppresses women and homosexuals. They integrated with the locals: they didn’t construct sharia no-go zones.

For the record, I have nothing against people migrating to a better country to improve their quality of life. Just as long as they realize what laws and cultural norms made the country they left a “shit hole,” and don’t bring said customs with them.
