-100F, if you count windchill. Not like I was out jogging in it though.

Skin temperature and core temperature are a lot more meaningful than outside temperature.

I'd rather face a winter in a cozy cabin in Alaska with sub zero outdoor temps than 5 hours with wet skin at 32F

But that's not temperature you are in... Go outside in sub zero and then you would have something to talk about.

I feel sorry for people who don't experience genuine cold, that's when you know you're alive.

Well, like I said, skin temperature and core temperature are a lot more meaningful. Also the amount of time.

Going outside for 15 seconds in your long johns at -20F to grab some wood for your cozy cabin's fireplace is like "burrr...damn it's cold out...hey what's on tv?". 5 hours soaked to the bone at 32F, you could die.

So I've "experienced" -100F wind chill, but I was dressed for it, and only had a few seconds of exposure.

Nah, to me winter is the most beautiful. It might be morbid, but the bare trees, non life, mist and fog, the frost on an open paddock. To me is just so beautiful, clear and crisp.
I smile most in winter, in the wood with fog, i feel like my ancestors may have felt, minus the fact I have thermals no bear pelt for outdoor use. When I use my slingshot or my bow, I feel.. that's what they did too. And those empty beams that harvest icicles, with their spirits within, the wudugust! I feel them watching over me.

The - 51 I mentioned above... (which was actual temp, not windchill) I was hitchhiking and almost died. So, yeah... I have experienced actual cold.

I would like to hike up Mt Everast. Or at least to the base camp. But I also think if I did that, then I was so close but I failed.

Surprisingly only -25 degrees Fahrenheit but if you include wind-chill it’s closer to -45 degrees Fahrenheit

It was a lovely 23F here today, sunny, and it smelled like Cheerios outside.

Where do you live, Americunt? That is mighty cold.

As for me, probably no colder than -10 Fahrenheit. Not counting wind chill, of course.
