The Dick told one of the full time sups that he (the Dick) wants "clean looking work spaces free of clutter".

Not a good way to start out as new management. He lacks leadership skills necessary to function in a contemporary work environment. He probably thinks that the personal items are a distraction and that removing them will increase work productivity. Bad move. Now he's actually crushed any sense of morale if there was any.

 

So, he's calling pictures of their wives, husbands, kids, pictures their kids drew for them to take to work, etc., "clutter"?
Dick move.

What did he give as an explanation? I can't even imagine one, unless you work in an industry where it could be harmful for clients to know your personal information.

 

On our street this morning, at 7:00 a.m., the woods behind one of the houses was on fire. The fire department had to come out. I still haven't heard how it started.

That's scary. Our whole subdivision is heavily wooded. That could've spread like crazy.

 

Yikes, glad that it was contained quickly.

Yes, I really do!

 

I didn't take that pic. The fire was up at the other end of the main road in our subdivision. That end is closer to the highway. Still that fire could have spread so quickly; and so many of us were still asleep. I guess the fire was about 7 houses from mine.

 

Yep, just as I thought.

Someone was burning yesterday and didn't get it put out before they went to bed.

The idiots. There are laws about burning near the houses and about burning in windy conditions.

I guess we're lucky it waited until daylight to start back up.

 

I haven't spoken to the prick yet. The sups office is just mostly for their eyes only. Hourlies are allowed but only on a limited basis. No outside clients allowed into facility.

 

Wow! Hell of a site to see first thing in the morning, and so close to the house!

King of the Hill is awesome. Hank and my father are pretty much the same person, so the show really used to make me smile.
