What's Happening?

Washing machines are such an amazing modern invention. I didn't have one for a couple of years, and it was such an annoyance: dragging clothes to and from the laundromat.

 

I agree. Coin laundry sucks, and gets pretty expensive!

 

I was even doing my laundry in the kitchen sink.

 

Oh, Aeri--how has your husband been doing? I know that historically, the relationship has suffered a bit of contention and stress. Are things better, worse, status quo?

I wanted to go skiing because I couldn’t do it last weekend. Had huge plans and was excited to go. Planned on having the whole mountain to myself because Of the Super Bowl. So I took a look at the webcams of the local ski mountain. To my dismay, there was so much bare earth that it looked like you’d have a lot of dodging to do just to stay on the snowy parts.

Instead I drove 1.5 hrs eastbound to my old family’s cabin on the lake. It’s the biggest lake in the state. Took out the canoe instead and rowed. Had the whole lake to myself. It was beautiful.

My grandparents who lived in this area died a while back. It’s so strange coming to this town and going to the lake without visiting them anymore.

 

We had a big discussion on New Year's Eve and things felt better; however, I think he's forgetting some.

I've had my coffee, paid bills, done social media, taken some surveys.

I guess it's time to get off my ass and wash clothes.
