Here's some geniusing from the city I called home: Boston police sent Black History Month tribute to Red Auerbach and people were not happy If you don't want to read the article, I'll sum up for you: A white guy was honored for Black History Month. A white guy*. For Black History Month... *Nothing against Red, however. Man is a freakin' deity to Celtics fans.
Are you seriously asking me if I am unclear on the race of Red Auerbach? That's like asking you if you're just assuming that Jeff Gordon is white.
Well, I'm not /seriously/ asking you, no. Lol. I'm unseriously being politically correct. we can't assume skin color in this day and age. For all we know, and I don't because I've never heard of him/her but dat Mofo might actually recognise themselves to be a black fella.
Yeah there's little doubt as to his origins...lol... Red Auerbach as you know is a legend in Boston, but unlike Thomas Yawkey of the Boston Red Sox who was the last owner in MLB to sign a black baseball player, Red Auerbach was first in the NBA which tells you a lot about his character and the man he is The Boston Police screwed up by paying tribute to a white man during black history month, I can forgive them
The name is German Jewish origin. I just want to know the thought process of the geniuses who let it get this far. Until I know the facts or motives behind the decision, I could never forgive them. Elementary school kids can make better decisions than those chowder heads.
My Jackie Robinson baseball card I have is probably the most valuable cards in my childhood card collection. Looking back, card collecting was a horrible investment. They aren't worth anything anymore. By the end of the '90s, all the baseball card shops disappeared off the face of the earth. I thought by holding onto them, I was making a good investment decision. Boy was I wrong. But one of my favorite historic black heroines is Clara Brown. She was emancipated from slavery at the late age of 56, moved to Colorado, and became a successful and wealthy businesswoman. She managed to do this all in an era when blacks and women had much fewer rights than they do today. Throughout her life, she had her children sold off to bidders, never to be seen or heard from again. She faced oppression the likes of which hardly any American alive today has ever experienced. Since she managed to do this all in a pre-civil rights, pre-women's liberation society. The people who bitch about being oppressed by kooky conspiracy theories like white privilege, and the patriarchy; they have nothing on her. These people who think the present day system is designed to keep them down are professional victims. They're cowards lack the strength and courage of a fighter like Clara Brown. America isn't a racist country today, and if a black woman can succeed in a time when America was more racist, then anyone can succeed in this day in age.
I like most of that post but this thingie seems a generalisation. If we compare it with the past it may seem down to a neglectable level, but really 'America' is still racist. It has racist issues. Its not the whole of America obviously, but its there to such an extent it seems silly to deny. I see racism in my country, partly a continuation of the 'good ol days' (when the Netherlands was great ). I wouldn't say the Netherlands is intrinsicly racist: also a generalisation that sounds like an exaggeration and an invite for a lengthy and pointless debate, but the opposite isn't exactly true either. Same for the USA. But to be fair: it seems your country has more racist issues than mine.
It's still great (far greater than USA, believe me. It's true Also, we gonna make it even greater. You'll see!), just not in size.
Greater than the US? Impossibru I heard the North Sea was immigrating on your asses so you built a Great Wall to keep it out. Racists one and all.
We don't like grey salt water. I've never seen a more obvious example of chain immigration: if you let some in it just keeps coming
Racism always existed and will always keep existing for the people who like to split singularity life. Racism is a natural characteristic of people living in duality life. Just as envy, jealousy, greed, anger is. You can never erase racism off this planet earth. Just as you can not erase jealousy or greed. No matter what you do. Indians are racists Arabs are racists Europeans are racists Blacks are racists Each one thinks he is the supreme race. I probably know africans better than anyone of you parrots. There is even racism among africans themselves. They are bleaching their skin, competing with each other which one is of lighter complexion etc. The lighter the skin the better the career chances. People who look beyond the veil of duality dont need any racism to help them feel superior and good about themselves. YOU ARE NOT A RACIST IF: - You dont feel hate towards any other race regardless of what happened in the past. - You don't feel ashamed/shy to present someone of another race to your family, friends. - You are not afraid to hold hands in public with someone of another race. I am sure most people who read this are racist without even noticing, because they dont fulfil the above mentioned criteries. So don't talk like a parrot and dont point fingers at others. It is YOU , YOU are the racist and need to change first.
