My name is Major Benson Winifred Payne. As of 0800, I am replacing Major Frankfurt as your commanding officer.

How could I say Fishbure as Furious and miss Cuba as Trey?

    Even Cube as Doughboy??

Maybe it's just that Boyz N The Hood is that good?

I enjoyed Boyz in the Hood. One of the best urban movies i've seen. 2 pac made good movies too.

My favorite urban movie would have to be: Rebound, the Legend of Earl "the Goat" Manigault. Based on a true story.

I like Poetic Justice. I loved that scene where Tupac had everyone just kind of blend into to the family reunion that wasn't his family.

I never liked Pac's music much, nor that thug persona, but still...there was something about him that seemed to speak--if only for fleeting moments--to every teenage girl in the 90s. Plus, he had the most beautiful eyes.

I always preferred Biggie over pac in music. Even DMX and Drag, i thought had more talent. He's good at playing the villain in my opinion. I enjoyed him in the movie Above the Rim. Juice was also good too.

Whoa, whoa, whoa!!! You saying you've NEVER seen Boyz N the Hood?

I don't know. Maybe you needed to see it 25 years ago to get it, but I'd like to think it's universal. Basically, the kids without a father are screwed and the kid with a father ends up okay. On the surface, it's a "hood" movie, but theme is all about fathers and sons. It's a beautiful film, but's also cool in that urban sense of the word. Imagine conscious 90s hip hop as a movie.

    Someone mentioned Martin Lawrence

Yeah he was great until he had that an onscreen meltdown followed shortly after by what most people believe was a mental breakdown
waving a gun around in public and screaming at passing cars

There’s something about Cuba Gooding Jr that I just don’t like. It’s hard to quantify

Love that movie and definitely that scene. African American fathers were struggling to keep their sons from getting caught up in the streets and Locked up for life. It's so easy to relate to that seen, because we're I grew up it was the exact same story. I'm lucky that my dad kicked my ass all the time and saw threw all my bullshit. I was so damn hardheaded. Wish he was alive now so I could thank him.

Yeah man, I used to feel the exact same way about him. But I got over it when I seen in some good movies. He's not too bad. He's not my number one or number two favorite, but he's alright.
