Is the second time tonight my shit has gotten assed up because Hip Forum fucks up like two levitating homos. Every time I contemplate donating money, a glitch affects me that makes me go, "Hmmmmmmmm....."

So just curious has anyone here ever bought a car through carvana.com or elsewhere online? It sounds more appealing to me than spending a weekend going from dealership to dealership looking. But I would like to hear some experiences from others before doing it

 

I'd never buy a car without checking it out personally... But that's just me.

plus i even avoid dealerships..only ever bought one from a dealership and it was just a back lot trade in that they hadnt touched yet

its usually better to buy private ...

 

Ol, private, really? Your average person will say anything to sell their car at Max profit, at least a dealership and can kick and scream until they fix stuff under Warrenty. I'd never do a private sale unless I really had to. But that's just me.

 

If you know your stuff or can bring someone with you who does.

 

I went to the dentist today and got the temporary bridge in front. There was lots of grinding and gum pushing involved. I'll be on a soup diet tonight.

I go back for the permanent bridge on March 9th.

 

But you can do the research on the vehicle before the final handshake. Review the blue book value with (Kelly'sBlueBook) and confirm the number of miles for a particular year/make/model, to see if it is worth what they are asking for. Then you can bargain from there, if they are trying to stiff you with a higher price than what it's worth. Go to a dealership with the vin number and find out the vehicle's maintenance history as well. Buying from a private seller works just fine if you do all the right things.

Second hand car = somebody else's problems. That's why I prefer dealers, if it's a second hand from dealer it's their responsibility rather than the onus on yourself for buying private.
