After the eighth school shooting in seven weeks – some gun control proposals

People who try to determine for what purpose an AR15 needs to be available to the general public.
Maccabee (and if I'm not mistaken Farmerdon as well) seems to think its needed for hog hunting. Most other people not.

 

Mr David Dennison says you can now hunt big game and bring parts home to show your family and friends what a great "hunter" you are.. Excellent! Nothin' like slaughtering wildlife from a distance with a huge gun before they disappear. Ahhh--nothin'like the smell of blood in the morning.

Just noticed in a news headline that Congress passed a gun control law “defying” the NRA. I didn’t know the NRA had so much say in gun laws.

 

The Netherlands isn't a free country? Last I looked people had more freedom there than here, except for the guns.

Wow! Ok. If that's your rationale for insulting a crippled guy----you lose BIG TIME , IMO. I can tell you or anyone else--I taught my kids to NEVER make fun of or disparage those with lesser abilities or abilities that handicapped them or for ANY reason. Again---YOU need to raise your standards, IMO.

 

I understand they voted against it. Even though it was supported by the parents of the victims. Hope that works out for the Dems there. They just flaunted in the face of those affected and supported it, that they don't agree with them. I don't feel like its in their best interest to throw out the baby with the bath water. But no matter, the bill did pass despite the opposition. Now lets see what the governor does.

 

If you mean the one in Alabama. It wasn't a mass shooting and it wasn't worthy of the liberal agenda. I think I saw that it was a kid that shot a girl and then accidentally shot himself. Sounds to be responsible gun owner now doesn't it?

 

Yep. It has been covered here that a mass shooting is only considered that if its more than 4. And if they aren't a white assailant, we probably won't see it discussed.

The definition of a mass shooting is the figure generally agreed upon when compiling statistics on mass shootings. That doesnt mean smaller school shootings dont matter. Plenty of people have pointed out that there have been 19...now 20 school shootings this year. Dont worry fellas, gun control advocates are definitely taking note

Just because it isn't mentioned on Hipforums doesn't mean no one here noticed.
The 7 before the one that sparked this discussion weren't mentioned a lot either. Well, those were just the ones of this year alone. If we take in account all mass and school shootings of last year too it seems there are almost too many to mention. Or even to just take notice of... Yeah. Serious fucking problem.
The hog hunting topic merely got attention in here because some people argued that's why there should be AR15s available.

School shooting and mass shooting are kind of the same thing.

Theres a difference between a school shooting and a shooting that happens at a school.

Because the libby libby lefties will have you believe there are all these school shootings when really a lot of its just little bullshit off the wall weird stuff and suicides.
