Giuliani says he is joining Trump's legal team to help bring Mueller probe to a conclusion By Pamela Brown, Dana Bash and Sophie Tatum, CNN Updated 7:28 PM ET, Thu April 19, 2018 Giuliani says he is joining Trump's legal team to bring Mueller probe to a conclusion - CNNPolitics "CNN previously reported that after the departure of lawyer John Dowd from the team, five large law firms passed on the opportunity to represent Trump. Well-known Washington lawyers cited several reasons for declining to join the President's team, CNN reported in March, citing multiple sources familiar with their decisions. Among them, Trump appears to be a difficult client and has rebuked some of his lawyers' advice. He's perceived as so politically unpopular he may damage reputations rather than boost them. Lawyers at large firms fear backlash from their corporate clients if they were to represent the President. And many want to steer clear of conflicts of interest that could complicate their other obligations."
Trump tweet: Many lawyers and top law firms want to represent me in the Russia case...don’t believe the Fake News narrative that it is hard to find a lawyer who wants to take this on. Fame & fortune will NEVER be turned down by a lawyer, though some are conflicted. 7:40 AM - Mar 25, 2018
Article from October 2017. Even red states feel the brunt of Trump’s ACA sabotage campaign By Steve Benen 10/06/17 10:43 AM—Updated 10/07/17 03:23 PM Even red states feel the brunt of Trump's ACA sabotage campaign "Some background is probably in order. Over the course of several months, GOP officials in Iowa crafted an ambitious series of reforms to help stabilize its state insurance market, taking advantage of a provision in the ACA – known among health care wonks as Section 1332 waivers – that allows states to come up with state-specific modifications to the law. The catch is, federal officials have to sign off on the changes. Iowa Republicans probably thought their ally in the White House would side with them, but they thought wrong. The trouble apparently started when the Wall Street Journal reported in late August on Iowa’s changes. It was soon after that the article crossed the president’s desk, prompting Trump to personally direct HHS to reject the Hawkeye State’s proposed reforms. What’s more, Iowa’s not alone. State officials in Oklahoma – one of the nation’s reddest red states, which Trump won by 36 points – spent months on a market stabilization plan of their own. The state submitted its waiver request on time, but the Trump administration didn’t respond until after the deadline had passed. Oklahoma’s top health official responded with a rather angry letter to Trump administration officials, explaining, among other things, that their failure to act will cause consumers in the Sooner State to pay higher premiums."
Like he did concerning the damaging effects of tariffs on farmers, an expected comment by Trump would be that the people of Oklahoma and Kansas are true patriots who are willing to take punches on the chin in the short run so that he can (supposedly) make healthcare better in the long run for them which, to Trump, requires sabotaging Obamacare and thwarting any efforts by states to try to minimize the damage from the sabotage.
Rudy's going to end the investigation in two weeks. Remember he has contact with ILLEGAL LEAKERS in the FBI who told him in advance of Comey's decision to release the Clinton letter that sank her bid for the presidency. Comey instigated an investigation into those leaks but was fired before he could determine the outcome. But just to hedge his bet Trump has also hired Marty Raskin and Jane Raskin, two criminal defense lawyers.
“My advice on Mueller has been this: He should be allowed to do his job, he’s entitled to do his job.” Rudy Giuliani
This tells me Rudy will take Trump's money and soak up some TV attention...and watch the downfall along with a blue wave.
Bridenstine confirmed. He's not qualified for the position which, by Trump standards, means he's qualified. Trump has a preference for people from Oklahoma. The world learns to ignore Trump Diplomats and investors are starting to dismiss Trump’s policy tweets and other quickly shifting statements. By BEN WHITE and MEGAN CASSELLA 04/18/2018 06:37 PM EDT The world learns to ignore Trump excerpt: “He’s clearly proven that he tends to shoot first and ask questions later and that is very, very difficult for anyone on Wall Street or really anywhere to navigate,” said Jack Ablin, chief investment officer at Cresset Wealth Advisors. “You can get free traders in the administration pushing stuff like rejoining TPP then he wipes it all out with a single tweet. So what we’ve tended to do is just look at the trends from 30,000 feet and shrug off the random tweets."
Mueller served in Vienam while Trump dodged the draft and was making love with women. Trump later said that his risk of getting sexually transmitted diseases was his Vietnam and verbally awarded himself an STD avoidance medal. Mueller was awarded a Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Vietnam Service, and two Navy Commendation medals Mueller dismantled the Gambino crime family. He knew how to use members to testify against John Gotti and bring him down. Trump is a crybaby compared to the mob that Mueller had to deal with. Donald Trump And The Mob: A Patsy Among Punks Steve Villano December 17, 2017 7:00 am / http://www.nationalmemo.com/donald-trump-mob-patsy-among-punks/ "Despite his posturing as a New York power player, Trump cowered in front of John Cody, behaving more like a bagman, than a big man. As recently as last October, Cody’s son Michael told Christopher Dickey and Michael Daly of The Daily Beast how Donald gave Cody whatever he wanted: “Trump was a guy who would talk tough, but as soon as you confronted him, he would cry like a little girl. He was all talk, no action.” Trump was, and still is, a punk-wannabe among punks: an amoral actor doing business with amoral peers. As John Cody’s son observed, and my brother’s friends demonstrated, they had zero respect for Trump. They knew they could squeeze him for as much as they wanted, since all that mattered to Trump was money. That’s a language understood very well by organized crime—whatever dialect is spoken by the Gambino, Genovese, Scarfo or Russian criminal enterprises. It’s also a way of life that Robert Mueller has developed great expertise—and extraordinary results—in holding accountable to the law."
comic relief Mueller Says That Until Yesterday He Had Almost Forgotten to Investigate Giuliani By Andy Borowitz April 20, 2018 11:28 A.M. Mueller Says That Until Yesterday He Had Almost Forgotten to Investigate Giuliani | The New Yorker "He said that other members of his team were “poking fun” at him for not deciding to investigate Giuliani before Thursday. “I mean, think about it: how do you do a criminal investigation of the Trump campaign and leave Rudy out of it?” he said. “I’ve got to say, I’m pretty darn embarrassed about the whole thing.” When asked for an estimate of when the Russia inquiry might wrap up, Mueller responded, “I honestly can’t say. I was hoping to bring it to a close in the next month or two, but now that we’re also investigating Rudy Giuliani, God only knows how long it’ll take.”"
Trump would later use his fake, self-promoting, publicity name, John Barron, as the name of his son. Reporter says Donald Trump used alter ego 'John Barron' to get onto Forbes 400 list Jessica Estepa, USA TODAY Published 6:00 p.m. ET April 20, 2018 | Updated 7:09 p.m. ET April 20, 2018 USA TODAY excerpt: "The reporter tasked with interviewing people for the Forbes 400 recently rediscovered the tapes of him talking to John Barron, a Trump Organization executive in the 1980s. And he said he's surprised he didn't catch on to the fact that Barron was actually Trump himself. "When I recently rediscovered and listened, for first time since that year, to the tapes I made of this and other phone calls, I was amazed that I didn't see through the ruse: Although Trump altered some cadences and affected a slightly stronger New York accent, it was clearly him," journalist Jonathan Greenberg wrote in a column published Friday in the Washington Post."
I dubbed it 'comic relief' to disinguish it from real news. The state of affairs of DC politics today is making it difficult to distinguish satire from reality. Andy Borowitz does those satire pieces regularly.
Quite Ironic to see a liberal touting with resoect someone having military service compared to someone that doesn't. Flip Flopping knows no limits.
