Best Days -- Ahead of You or Behind?

Because we don’t know if today is the last day so make it a best day. Not always easy ...I tend to think too much about the future too

 

Undeniably long since behind me. I've squandered any chance I've had at a good fulfilling life.

 

I honestly think that they are behind me.

 

Far fewer days ahead of me than behind me.

 

i plan on getting senile pretty soon, so every day will be the best day as far as i can remember.

 

Ahead and only getting better as I get older

 

what is not known is not known.
what has not yet been experienced, always has potential to be better then what has.

how does one judge the quality of a day?
happiness perhaps, or the feeling of accomplishment.

the view from the top of a mountain can be worth the climb, but you still have to climb back down to find something to eat.
i mean for longer then what you were able to take with you.

best days, wow. best days are when no thought is disrupted by anger or hate.
when the clouds occupy only the smaller fraction of the sky, all fluffy and making shapes.

when every day is play day, and the play is the pay,
and nothing to fear or be held back by.

days if inspiration and materializing inspiration into solid or visual form.

i would say always ahead. whatever glories of the past,
if you spend your days looking at them, you tend to bump into things walking backwards like that.

what made the 60s and 70s better then the 50s and 40s was people looking forward more then back,
which seems to be a bit unusual for humans, and i really wish it was more the norm instead.

 

Definitely ahead of me. With a new wife 24hrs ago, the world is ours.

I really do think today is the best day, though. Always have. Doesn't matter what I did in the past or what the future may hold.

Have waned and faded - though I'm not sad.

But as long as Smiles - outweigh the frowns,
One is content - hope's not forlorn,
For tomorrow brings - a whole *New* dawn

Behind AND ahead

I've made some good memories
And that was always my goal in my teens and 20s, i never wanted to say no to an experience because I wanted good memories to look back on when I was older.

And i've also got a lot to look forward to in the future. I'm excited about where life will take me

the thing about the future is that it doesn't just hold things,
its also what you are making today.

just the same as today is what you made yesterday.

i mean sure there are a lot of things, maybe most things, our influence on is statistical and even minimal.
but it is there.
and a statistic is created by everyone.

so when people don't care what kind of future they are creating, they probably deserve the kind of day that future becomes as a result.
