yes, but China does not want a bunch of refugees invading it's country.
I am curious as to the conversations between Xi, and Kim.

The best outcome would be reunification between SK, and NK. Then they could tell trump to "get off their lawn"

In response to McCain's opposition to Trump's pick of Gina Haspel to be the head of the CIA, Kelly Sadler, special assistant to the president said it "doesn't matter, he's dying anyway."
The White House didn't dispute the remark and Trump has remained silent instead of condemning it.

Remember when a women at a debate said Obama was a Muslim and McCain said "I do not believe that he is a good man" or something very close to that?

Can you imagine any Republican taking a stance like that now with Democrat? McCain is a different kind of politician. One that his party is not interested in. Even when it ran it was not about him it was about his VP. She was the opinions they were looking for. Seeing Russia from your house, not reading etc.

McCain is one of the few in Congress who is still speaking out against Trump. The rest have gone quiet in fear.

A small handful of billionaire and military autocrats who are now controlling much of the world (Putin, Trump, Netanyahu, Kim Jong-un, Xi Jinping, Duterte, Assad).

The Twilight Zone episode It's A Good Life exemplifies what happens when powerful, spoiled, undisciplined, child-like characters take control over people's lives.

This time it's not Peaksville, Ohio but much of the world.

Trump Has Now Broken Every One of His Economic Populist Promises
    by Jonathan Chait

Trump Made 5 Populist Promises. He Has Now Broken Them All.

"This week, the administration announced very quietly there would be no infrastructure bill this year. Trump had forcefully positioned himself to Hillary Clinton’s left on this issue, promising to spend twice as much as she would, and painting lavish pictures of hard-hat jobs modernizing roads and airports across the country. Instead, he used all his fiscal running room on a large, regressive tax cut, which predictably has forced the deficit to a level where he no longer has political support for a deficit-financed infrastructure bill.

Trump promised over and over to pull out of Nafta and renegotiate a much better deal. Trump insisted Nafta was “at the center of the catastrophe” of declining blue-collar wages. He quoted Bernie Sanders’s attacks on Hillary Clinton as a free trader, and promised either to abrogate the treaty or to negotiate a much better deal as one of his first acts as president — “I don’t mean just a little bit better, I mean a lot better.” Unlike some of his other promises, this one was never terribly realistic — there is no easy “better” trade deal to be negotiated. Trump has instead tried to hide the ball by burying his policy in low-profile negotiations where he is requesting minor tweaks and hoping nobody notices.

Trump also repeatedly promised universal health care. Republicans as a whole had insisted since 2009 that they would replace Obamacare with something better, that did not deny anybody anything, but rather than fuzzing up this promise, like most of his party, Trump leaned heavily and explicitly into the benefits. “Everybody’s gotta be covered. This is an un-Republican thing for me to say … I am going to take care of everybody, I don’t care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody’s going to be taken care of, much better than they’re taken care of now … The government’s going to pay for it.” Instead, he never proposed an alternative to Obamacare, never compromised with Democrats on the issue, and instead sabotaged the existing program. After falling for several years, the uninsured rate is climbing again."

I've never been a big fan of John Mccain, I respect his service to this country but i've never agreed with him politically

But it just goes to show how vile the current Republican party is when John Mccain looks like a diamond compared to lumps of coal like Paul Ryan and Mitch Mcconnell and of course the giant turd that is the Trump administration

Yeah I never agreed with him politically. But I miss the way he carried himself. Like we are all Americans even if we disagree.

Kim Jong-un's late father claimed that he made 11 holes-in-one during his first ever golf outing, a narcissistic claim not unlike those of Trump.

If Trump plays his cards right, North Korea could have Trump-branded luxury golf resorts in the not too distant future.

"It is just a 30-minute drive from the capital city Pyongyang and welcomes wealthy tourists and a handful of North Koreans.

Kim’s late dad Kim Jong-il is said to have landed 11 holes-in-one there during his first EVER round of golf in 1994."

That truly describes the mentality of Trump's inner circle: Heartless Scumbags! Who would say that about a man in his 80s?

Very close except for the addition of one word. McCain said Obama Was a Good Man. He did not say was not.

    Simple word, 180 difference.

I agree with him. Good man. Poor president.

You do realize he has 3.5 years to go on his term right? I mean assuming he isn't out of office before that, he may certainly be planning on introducing these at other times. I think he needs to Pace himself longer. Keeping all his promises in one year will run out if legs if he doesn't do anything major after that.

Meanwhile it looks like they are taking apart Stormy's lawyer now.

A couple of days ago the Trump people said he would be cutting $800 million out of Medicare. About an hour ago, Trump with Alex Azar of HHS beside him declared he would cut the "Middle Man" out of drug prices. What was not said is what they meant to big pharmaceutical companies. The move would remove Medicare out of the picture. Medicare has an impact on what poor people get charged, and Trump just removed that so the Big Pharma could just play the open market game. Since big companies are well versed on market control, the cost of medicine in America just shot up through the clouds. Poor people are probably going to die because of the lack of medicine. Ben Carson at HUD has already declared he would raise the rent on these old and sick people who depend on government for their housing, medicine, and food. So, Trump and company appear to have decided to reduce the population so the rich don't have to pay so much in taxes.

Wrong: Trump has a four year term. He has been in office all of 2017 and half of 2018. So, 4 - 1.5 = 2.5 And that means he has two and a half years to go unless his legal issues catch up with him.

His first term would end in January, 2021. That means he has about 2 years and 8 months remaining in his first term.

Good man, good president. I've heard that Obama will be giving the eulogy at McCain's funeral.
    I've had a love/hate relationship with McCain.

OK this is big: The New York Times just put out a story saying the two women who brought charges against Schneidermann had originally taken their case to Michael Cohen in 2013...Wow! I had suspected a Trump/Cohen connection right off. Sure sounds like obstruction. Remember the FBI & Mueller have 20 cell phones in a cardboard box!
