The whole "arm the teachers" thing is a perfect example of the delusion some gun owners live under. It's so easy to shoot back, I do it all the time at the range, and you can to. And why would you not want to do that? Any real man is prepared to protect what he loves. It's not that simple and it shows that you have never really been in a life or death situation. What you have done is watch too many movies and discuss lots of hypotheticals with your friends. I get it you get bored of trap shooting. You do not buy a Corvette to do the speed limit. You buy it to see what it can do. An Ar-15 is no different. But you can actuly take a Corvette to a race track. The real test of the Ar-15 requires a civil war or burglar. Not easy things to come by in the average middle class American neighborhood where the white NRA member lives. So you get frustrated all you can do is talk and hope someone makes your day. When I was school we still had textbooks that listed the USSR as a country. It had not been for some time. But books cost money and there is none. I wonder if in places like Oklahoma they will find gun money before teacher salary money. It's getting to the sad point that you will chase some good teachers out of the business with this gun nonsense.
Oklahoma. Eighth ranking state in gun violence. Death by firearm per 100,000 population: 16.5. No permit required for a purchase of a firearm.
And now the summit may be back on. It's enough to give a person nosebleed. Such drama. Almost like an episode from the Apprentice. Trump Says North Korea Summit May Be Rescheduled Trump suggests June 12 meeting with North Korea may be back on
The fact that some people trumpet these stories as if they prove that guns are good for society is so confusing. So the good thing about this is that someone was shot dead? That makes it okay that two people (one of which is a 12 year old girl) were wounded? I thought that lax gun laws were supposed to prevent this kind of thing from happening in the first place... aren't these crazy gunmen supposed to be too scared to even attempt this kind of thing? Oh wait... that argument doesn't work anymore-- so now we're just supposed to be happy that a guy shot another guy. You know, if gun laws had been better, it's likely that the gunman wouldn't have had a gun in the first place... in which case two people wouldn't have been wounded, and the gunman wouldn't be dead. But of course, that wouldn't have the same cathartic thrill for you, would it? A 12 year old girl and her grandmother were shot, but it's a happy day because guns work.
To get you have to give. Bolton screwed up by mentioning the Libya model. After all, the guy gave up his nukes and was shot in the street some years later. One does not have much to do with the other , but Un probably thinks so. To get them to de-nuke--Trump should cancel the war games off Korea to show that we will play fair. These dumb-asses have even mentioned regime change, which obviously scared the north Koreans. They don't seem to think much before they shoot off something calculated to piss them off. The Koreans may know about Panama, that little island that was attacked, and they damn sure know about Iraq , Afghanistan, Kuwait and other excursions by the US. They may even know about the Gulf of Tonkin incident. So I hope that this admin will also give something to get something to show some semblance of earnestness to actually deal. Not just demand. Now, on the other hand, it could be said that this is Korea being Korea and are acting the same as always.
No it makes it OK that it wasn't more than 2 shot or killed and the good that came out of it is that we don't spend a dime, trying, housing him, studying him, and finding a liberal excuse as to why he may have had some liberal reason he needed to act. One dead bad guy. No more than 2 shot. No arrest need to be made. One less fuck to deal with for years.
Exactly, you enjoy the thought of killing people that you have judged as unworthy of life. Nothing wrong with that!
If they are killing innocent people then yeah I spose they are unworthy of life. Certainly not worthy of 25 years in prison awaiting a death sentence.
Flip flop. It's hard to believe that anyone takes this guy seriously. He's all over the board on everything. Why would NK even consider that he would live up to any agreement? All he does is lie, make things up, and change his mind for no reason....on a continual basis. He just wrote a letter to NK yesterday saying the meeting wouldn't take place. I have less respect for him each day.
Seeing that Harvey Weinstein and his sex assaults have knocked Stormy Daniels off the lede on MSNBC. Harvey makes Trump seem like an amatuer!
You guys are slow. Trump does all of it on purpose. He never intended to NOT make the summit. He flip flops because he capitilizes and gets the maximum amount of media discussions. He is 90% of what you hear on daily news cycles. Meanwhile the Dems get how much media time. He is proving the media coverage even bad media coverage is what America seems to thrive on. I doubt for a second he is going to let the NK deal fall apart. It's an easy win and a no brainier. But nobody wants to hear that. So he spins it into a media circus. I personally grow tired of it. So I just don't watch. His pattern is flip flop, confusion, chaos, and squeeze out anything else he can for the American public to hear except his name.
No shit. He's a carnival barker who thinks he's outsmarting everyone. Don't you think the NK's, China, Russia, and all of our allies don't understand his game? He has no morals, no pride, no class, and no self respect.
The sad thing is many cons accept he's an idiot. But they think he is "playing 3d chess" and somehow everything is a troll. It's not you are the mark in the carnival game not the one who profits.
Gaddafi did not have nukes. He had some small chemical weapons ability and dismantled that plant after a deal with the bush administration. The deal included the requirement he turn over two Libyans who the USA claimed were responsible for the Lockerbie event. Gaddafi turned over the two men.
And he also got a lesson in diplomacy when we bombed him. And it would have gotten him if the circumstances were 5 minutes sooner. After that bombing he never gave us a bit of trouble ever again! Let's not forget that part of history either.
He's certainly out smarting the Dems. The only thing they can field in the media is something about Trump. They have no message that anyone wants to hear unless it has the name Trump in it.
The keyboard player in one of my favorite bands tweeted this to Trump on a scale of "prove your birth certificate" to "lock her up" where does your 'witch hunt' fall? Lol he is now on a watch list.
Speculation about Manafort as he exhausts his options. 3 Predictions for What Mueller Will Do Next As a former prosecutor, here’s where I think the special counsel is headed. By NELSON W. CUNNINGHAM May 21, 2018 3 Predictions for What Mueller Will Do Next excerpt: "Paul Manafort will plead guilty in the coming weeks. The two indictments against Trump‘s former campaign, relating to his work for Ukrainian backers and his efforts to evade federal registration and to pay taxes on the proceeds of his work, are exceptionally strong. His junior partner in crime (and Trump’s deputy campaign manager) Rick Gates has already pleaded guilty and agreed to cooperate. And just last week, Manafort’s former son-in-law (and former business partner), Jeffrey Yohai, pleaded guilty and agreed to cooperate. There is little question, in prosecutors’ circles, that Manafort faces certain conviction and a long prison term. Manafort at the moment is exercising his own Hail Mary defense: claiming that Mueller has exceeded his authority in charging him. That claim was roundly dismissed last week in the D.C. court, and in all likelihood the Alexandria court will follow suit. Rosenstein’s charge to Mueller to investigate allegations that Manafort “[c]ommitted a crime or crimes arising out of payments he received from the Ukrainian government” could not be more clear. Once his Hail Mary motions fail, Manafort (and Mueller) will have every incentive to quickly reach a resolution. Manafort, who is 69, does not want to spend the rest of his years in prison. And Mueller needs to secure Manafort’s testimony and get his cases resolved before his July “deadline.”"
