except the democratic party is distancing itself from her. she will win the seat, but only because her republican opponent has spent no money or time on his campaign, and dems outnumber repugs 6-1 in that district.

    Dear Donald Trump,

Please nominate Andrew Napolitano for Supreme Court justice. If you select Napolitano, much of your presidential atrocities and fuck-ups that you have made up to this point, will be forgiven by me..

I noticed gas prices have been a steady 30% to 40% higher since Trumpy took office. He say crazy statements on TV … like "Little Rocket Man" to scare the markets then the oil company sees a reason to hike the price. The bombings of Syria and threats against Iran do the same things. The only thing going down is the price of weed in Colorado, which Trump can not control.

Trump tariffs could be nails in the coffin for some U.S. businesses.

As a remedy, Trump could offer incentives to a foreign-based nail company to come to the U.S. by subsidizing it with money drawn from taxpayers of a particular state, like he is doing by promoting Foxconn in Wisconsin in the district of the U.S. Speaker of the House Paul Ryan. That wouldn't seem to be exactly in line with his campaign-style rhetoric of supporting U.S. based companies and trying to keep all of their operations in the U.S.

Trump's trade war might close down America's largest nail factory — but workers remain diehard Trump fans
"It’s like he’s turned the lights off now. And it’s all because of the tariffs.”

Trump's trade war could bring down America's largest nail factory

    excerpts:

"POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — President Donald Trump has vowed to bring back American jobs, but three months since making his first move to impose tariffs on foreign steel and aluminum, his trade policies have cost 60 employees their positions at the country's largest nail manufacturing plant.

For 29 years, Chris Pratt has worked the floors of the Mid Continent Nail Factory, a business started in 1987 in this town of 17,000 people. He is now the operations manager and oversees 500 employees. But this month, he eliminated 60 positions at the factory after a 50 percent drop in nail orders following Trump’s June 1 announcement of a 25 percent tariff on all steel imports from Mexico, the source of the company’s raw material.

“The economy is thriving, the home building business is thriving — so we should be doing well in turn,” Pratt told NBC News. “But it’s like he’s turned the lights off now. And it’s all because of the tariffs.”"

"Before this month’s layoffs, the company had doubled its workforce since 2012. But Mid Continent had to increase the price of its products to offset the cost of the tariffs. Many of the company's customers immediately canceled their orders, since they could purchase nails at a lower price from international markets like China or Taiwan."

Portugal's Vitorino beats Trump pick to lead UN migration agency

Decades of American leadership at the UN, broken.
All due to Trump, whose rhetoric has made him unfit to choose the world's top migration official.

I shudder to imagine what would happen if Putin gets his way and replaces the leaders of other countries with more of his bitches.

Trump will just blame it on Obama and Hillary, and the base will believe it.

Obama blamed Bush for 6 years. Trump has actually been much kinder to Obama. At least in what he says. Obama made destroying his "legacy" all too easy by basing so much of it on unilateral executive orders. But what the hell, it made his base really happy. So happy they wanted him for a 3rd term.

Yeah. All he said was Obama was from Kenya and can't be president as he's a fraud, he's a secret Muslim, he was the most ignorant president in history, he founded ISIS, he's a bad sick person, he's a threat to our country, he's behind protests against Republicans, and he wire tapped Trump Tower.
Stuff like that . Very complimentary.

Trump set to lock up the government.
He already has the House and Senate under control and, of course the White House.
Now he's about to take over the Supreme Court. That way when he pardons himself the Supreme Court will uphold his decision.
Roe vs Wade will be gone, gay rights...gone, they just ruled against workers by requiring unions to represent non members for free, gerrymandering is back already, look for prayer and creationism in public schools, discrimination in public places, affirmative action will bite the dust, and not to mention more voter suppression (look for I.D. cards to be able to vote).

But don't worry it'll only last for about 40 years.

Hey, here's a good one. Remember when the Republicans yelled and screamed about appointing a Supreme Court judge during an election year? So Obama was unlawfully denied the privileged?
Think they'll wait till after the next elections?
Rumor is we'll have a new judge in less than a month.

One of Trump's top picks has already stated that the president can pardon himself. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Who started the war in Iraq?
Who gave birth to the surveillance state?
When did the Great Recession begin and why?

The major obstacles of Obama's presidency began in the Bush era... there's no way around that.
After Trump ruins America with all of his bullshit, whoever comes next will spend most of their presidency cleaning up his mess as well.

Notice how Trump doesn't blame Obama for the state of the economy?
    Well, he should.

After his trade war bullshit ruins everything, he might have a hard time blaming it on Obama... but I would never underestimate the stupidity of his base.

G.M. Says New Wave of Trump Tariffs Could Force U.S. Job Cuts
    By Tiffany Hsu

G.M. Says New Wave of Trump Tariffs Could Force U.S. Job Cuts

    excerpt:

"Last month, Mr. Trump ordered an investigation into whether imported cars and automotive components pose a national security risk, calling for penalties expected to be as high as 25 percent. The administration has already put levies on imported steel and aluminum, and is about place tariffs on $34 billion worth of Chinese goods.

G.M. and other automakers rely heavily on parts and materials from overseas to build their cars. The president’s threat to pull out of the North American Free Trade Agreement could hurt the industry’s supply chain, which integrates operations in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

“If there’s a full-blown trade war, it will be pretty tough for the auto industry and consumers,” said Michelle Krebs, an analyst at AutoTrader.com.

“Consumers are already facing headwinds in credit and average prices going up,” she said. “If you add a tariff, my guess is a lot of people just won’t buy new cars.”

The increasingly global nature of automotive supply chains has left manufacturers especially exposed.

This week, Harley-Davidson said it would move some of its production outside of the United States to avoid retaliatory measures by the European Union. The company said it was the only “sustainable option” to “maintain a viable business in Europe.”"
