What's Happening???

At the risk of soundin' like ol' BSR.........there's a reason it's blue ribbon

 

This one a standard Irmi break. Table is open. Nothing went down. so, assume I'm coming in for my open shot? What do I do? First I look for problem balls. Those 2 yellows tie up with the 8 don't look fun. On the flip side I need to break out that pack to have a chance on the ball. There are two reds near that cluster. Both can be used to break the pack open.

I chose reds/solids and pocket the one in the top left so that I could get position on the red ball furthest at top as that would be a handful getting position on later in the match. I sank the red but I also didn't leave myself much angle for the top red, I left it hanging on that pocket. Anyway, I still am in the mindset of using the reds to break the black out so I got my next shot I did that, a little too well though and I missed the red and broke the pack. Oh no! Not good. But, I still managed to win.

On the positive, I managed to leave the white ball smack dead in the centres after the break, which is great! Provided I sank a ball. But this break like this, I'm handing the next person an open table with too many options. But you can't have that mindset, you can't play safe on the break.

 

Watching a rain shower, the sun is shining and I can see a rainbow.

It's almost ten hours long, so I don't know how long it would actually take.

It's the last day of my week-long vacation. Didn't do much of anything except drink beer. Oh well.

 

I looked for the Westbrook gose you were drinking on today but they didnt have it. So i'm drinking the key lime pie gose. Ah well, such is life

Sitting on the river. Watching rafters go by. The weirdest one I saw was a couple of dudes and a chick wearing old glory Stars and Stripes swimsuits, while waving the Virginia battle flag with the word “redneck” inscribed on it.
